Area description
The Butterfly House is located in a quiet street on the outskirts of the village Gardony. At about 15 minutes walk
from the beach of the Velence.
Gardony lies geographically between Lake Balaton (60km) and the city of Budapest. (45km).
In the neighboring village of Agard is a newly renovated spa.
The oldest town in Hungary, Szekesfehervar, is 10km away. Here you will find large supermarkets such as Spar,
Tesko, Auchan etc.
With just an area of ​​26 square kilometers (10.8 km long and 2.3 km wide), it is Velence the little sister of Lake
Balaton, but certainly not less important. Because of the shallowness of the lake (about 1.5 meters), the water in
the summer a pleasant temperature of about 26 to 28 degrees and is thus warmer than Lake Balaton. The lake
bottom is soft. On the lake you can uitaard excellent sailing and surfing, in different places you can rent water
sports.
Tour options from the Velence are visiting the capital Budapest or the former royal city of Székesfehérvár.

Gádony, Velencefürdö, Kápolánsnyek and Velence are grown together to form the tourist center of the Velence.
