AIO, the Italian Dental Association, will be holding a world class dental congress in the
seaside town of Chia on the picturesque Island of Sardinia, in Italy, from June 11th – 13th
2015. With it’s immense natural beauty, squisite cusine, excellent wines, unique handicrafts, cristalline waters, sandy and granite lined beaches, Sardegna makes the perfect
setting for the meeting.
The congress will host speakers from Italy and around the world, Simultaneous translation into English will be provided. Symposiums will be held during the meeting involving
three of the most renowned and respected dental societies in the country, the SIDOC
(Italian Society of Restaurative Dentistry), the SIDO (Italian Society of Orthodontics) and
the SIE (Italian Society of Endodontics). Courses for all members of the dental team will
be held (dental hygienists, chair-side assistants, dental laboratory technicians and office
staff) so bring them along!
Sightseeing tours and special events will highlight the meeting, offreing partecipants and
their families the opportunity to visit the island, learn about it’s unique culture and history,
see it’s attractions, watch local artesans at work and enjoy some of Sardinia’s best food
and wines.

Dr. Pascal Magne is an Associate Professor with Tenure
and the Don and Sybil Harrington Foundation Professor of Esthetic Dentistry in the Division of Restorative
Sciences, University of Southern California, Ostrow
School of Dentistry of USC, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Magne graduated from the University of Geneva
School of Dental Medicine, Switzerland, in 1989 with a
Med. Dent.. He obtained his Doctorate in 1992 and his
Ph.D. degree in 2002. He received postgraduate training in fixed prosthodontics and occlusion, operative
dentistry and endodontics at the University of Geneva
School of Dental Medicine, and was a lecturer at the
same university beginning in 1989 until 1997. From
1997-1999, he was a Visiting Associate Professor at the
Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials
and Biomechanics, University of Minnesota, School of
Dentistry.
After concluding two years of research, Dr. Magne
returned to University of Geneva School of Dental Med-
icine and assumed the position of Senior Lecturer in the
Division of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion until his
departure for USC in February 2004.
Dr. Magne is a recipient of multiple awards from the
Swiss Science Foundation, the Swiss Foundation for
Medical-Biological Grants, the recipient of the 2002
Young Investigator Award from the International Association for Dental Research and 2007 and 2009 Judson
C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award from the Journal of
Prosthetic Dentistry.
He is also the author of over 200 clinical and research
publications on esthetics and adhesive dentistry and
is an internationally known lecturer on these topics.
Furthermore, Dr. Magne authored the book “Bonded
Porcelain Restorations in the Anterior Dentition - A
Biomimetic Approach” which has been translated into
twelve languages and is considered as one of the most
outstanding books in the field of adhesive and esthetic
dentistry.
