educational program for our emerging professionals.
In 2013 the AIAPF Chapter received statewide recognition from the Academy of Emerging Professionals for our unique
approach that resulted in engagement from the community as well as the design arena. We are happy to have them!

McClellan, Badiyi, Associates
Principal & Director of Design
Bahram Badiyi received his Bachelor
and Master in Architecture in 1984 and
1987 from the University of Southern
California in Los Angeles. He has worked
as Principal in charge of design and Director of Architecture for
McClellan, Badiyi Associates since May of 2006. He has been
responsible for design and completion of many institutional
and commercial projects in the greater southern California. His
Alongside of his practice, Bahram has been an educator
since 1994 for various community colleges in the Los Angeles
area. He was the Department Chair for the Architecture and
Construction for the College of the Canyons from 2000 to
2003. He is currently teaching at the Los Angeles Valley
College where he wrote two new programs one for Sustainable
Construction Management and the other for Solar Energy
Design awarding Associate Degree in Science. Both programs
were approved by the State of California and are currently being
taught.
Bahram received a prestigious AIA award in Dec of 2013
from the Foothill/Pasadena Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects. At the same month he also received another
prestigious award from MESA (Mathematic, Engineering,
Science and Art) Organization for his teaching contributions
In addition his drawings and sketches have been exhibited in
various galleries including Los Angeles Art Association.
Professional Experience:
Thirty-one (31) years of civil engineering
experience involving land development,
subdivision, commercial, residential, multifamily, industrial, and educational facilities. Design, construction,
and overall management of major infrastructure improvements
design.

Dr. Khatri has been working with Insurance Carriers over the past
ten years involving various areas of casework:
Forensic Structural Engineering: Evaluation of property
explosions, and other environmental factors.
Structural Design/Engineering Reconstruction: Preparation
of design plans to restore/rebuild the structure to its original preloss condition. Evaluation and value engineering to construct the
Construction Cost Estimating and Project Management:
Evaluation of the repair costs associated with the project, and
Geotechnical and Soils Issues: This includes soil
for cause and effect.
Earthquake/Seismic Evaluation of Existing Buildings
and PML Reports: Evaluation of existing structures for seismic

Each of the eight ARE lectures will occur at the AIA Chapter office, on alternating Saturday
afternoons from 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Each of these lectures will be followed by dinner and
drinks with your fellow Emerging Professionals at the locations listed below. The Chapter
office is located at: 555 South Oak Knoll Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101.
