Sponsored by
Alpha Show Society ($100 + Sean Dillon Perpetual Trophy)
The Most Successful Young Entrant is an initiative of the 2004 Queensland Young
Ambassador for the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Show Societies, Sean
Dillon.
The idea is to promote the several different facets that complete the overall image
of a rural Agricultural Show and to encourage participation in as many different
areas of the show as possible.
Requirement for entry:
The entrant must be aged under 25 years on the Wednesday of the Alpha
Show; and
Must compete in two (2) different sections of the show. NOTE: Entering
horses in the led ring and the hack ring does not by itself allow eligibility.
However, Hack/Led Ring and Show jumping or Stockman’s Challenge would
be acceptable. Pavilion classes will be considered as one section for the
purpose of this award.
Scoring Guidelines:
1. Entry forms/scorecards are collected from the Show Secretary at the
Secretaries Box.
2. It is the responsibility of entrants to ensure that their scorecard is completed
with places and include the signature of the relevant Chief Steward.
Remember, the Chief Stewards decision will at all times be final.
3. After competition returned scorecards will be tallied by the Secretary using
the points system below:
4.
1st—6 point
Reserve Champion—1 Point
2nd—4 Points
Grand Champion—2 Points
3rd—2 Points
Supreme Champion—1 Point
Protests must be lodged in writing within 30 minutes for the decision being
announced at which case a committee consisting of the ASS President, one
Vice President and a Chief Steward will consider the protest and determine a
finding. This finding will be absolute and final.

Pavilion Family Trophy
To win the $50 cash all you need to do is get the whole family involved in entering
exhibits in the pavilion. This prize will be awarded to the family who exhibits the most
number of entries across all sections and divisions in the pavilion.
A points system will determine the winning family. Individual family members score 1
point for every division in which they enter. So the more sections and divisions family
members enter the more points your family accumulates.
