The vast majority of Michael Kelly
mandolins are now equipped with our
beautifully designed one-piece tailpiece
that provides increased tone, ringing
sustain and volume. .
This new hefty tailpiece (weighing in
at close to double some well-known
tailpieces) is designed to transfer the
maximum amount of string vibration
to the body. With some one-piece
tailpieces, string changes are difficult
and sometimes the overall visual
appeal can suffer. The Michael Kelly
tailpiece’s specially designed “cover”
hides the area where the strings
meet the tailpiece, while the easily
accessible mounting system makes
string changes quick and easy!

A Michael Kelly masterpiece, that is how you might describe the Legacy Eleganté. This top of
the line model has every upgrade available in appearance and tone. As with all MK mandolins
we start with a solid hand carved spruce top. On the Eleganté however our craftsman spend
more time carefully carving and graduating the top for the best possible sound. The back and
sides are all solid flame maple and the fingerboard is hand selected premium ebony. With this
no-compromises instrument you will also get our new upgraded solid tailpiece that has more
mass for increased tone and a design that eliminates rattles and makes string changes faster
and easier than ever before. The Eleganté is topped off perfectly with stunning flame maple
binding. This exotic wood accent allows the Eleganté to stand out from the crowd in looks as
well as with its big booming tone.

The Legacy Dragonfly Flame is a top of the line
Michael Kelly mandolin. The centerpiece of the
Dragonfly model is the unique vine inlay design
carefully inlaid into the fingerboard. The inlay made
from real pearl and abalone gives this mandolin a truly
custom look. The Flame is also equipped with one of
our most in demand features, a radiused fingerboard
that is very comfortable to play.
Many players feel that a radiused board improves
their performance. The “Flame” in the Dragonfly Flame
comes from its stunning solid flame maple back and
sides. For improved tone, Michael Kelly has equipped
this model with its propritary one-piece tailpiece
that adds ring and resonance.

The Legacy Deluxe is designed and built in
the classic collectible f-mandolin style. It
features an all solid wood body and a dovetail neck joint. The Deluxe features great
looking flamed maple on the back, sides
and neck. It is equipped with high quality
Grover® mandolin tuners and a radiused
ebony fingerboard that is scalloped at the
extension. The Deluxe has a deep body and
careful additional hand carving on the top.

The Legacy Plus has all of the key features
required for the best possible mandolin
tone. We start with a solid spruce top
that we hand carve and graduate for
that classic f-style mandolin bark. The
back and sides are also solid with North
American maple. The Legacy plus also has
a premium ebony fingerboard for another
tonal advantage. As with all Michael Kelly
mandolins the Plus is constructed using
a classic dovetail neckjoint for maximum
tonal resonance between the neck and
body. The Legacy Plus also has high quality
Grover® tuners and a radiused fingerboard

This is the perfect way to add a new tone to
your mando jams. The Michael Kelly Mandola
Plus is a hard to find f-style mandola at a price
that won’t break the bank. With a body and
scale length that is larger than a typical f-style,
the instrument is tuned in fifths, to the pitches
of the viola (C-G-D-A low-to-high), a fifth lower
than a mandolin; the courses are tuned in
unison rather than in octaves. It’s solid flame
maple back looks good and sounds even better.
