“The Office” is located along side the runway. It has electric power and
provides a professional setting for private conversations with clients and
video lessons for students. It can be used for the sale of oil, accessories and

The Local PPG/PPC Community
Thirty-five active members of the Route 66 Flyers, the local
PPG/PPC Ultra-Light flying club, use the flying site regularly.
Their activities on and off the field keep up a strong interest in
the sport.
The Route 66 Flyers attend fly-ins throughout the south-west,
regularly have PPG/PPC safaris to interesting locations in New
Mexico and have an established Search and Rescue Team
registered with the State of New Mexico
This group of responsible pilots can serve as a ready-made base
for continued operations at the flying site.
A Great Place to Fly
New Mexico is a high desert environment with mild
temperatures throughout the year. The winters do not get
that cold because we are in a southern latitude. The
summers do not get too hot because we are 5,320 feet
above sea level. Flights are reliably available in the
mornings and late afternoons.
Typical spring winds exist but instructional and
recreational flights are often possible in the early morning
even on the days when the strongest winds are forecast.
You can expect 300 days a year of flyable conditions.
A Great Place to Fly
Taken from above the property, looking south toward “Black
Mesa”. The flat wide open terrain is ideal for flying. There is plenty
of interesting topography to explore and still lots of open space for
safe, engine-out landings.

dry arroyo running north and south
through the valley. Pilots like to “fly it”
following its course for miles.
