The Guardian Angel Fund
Since Mercy started the Fund-an-Item 15
years ago at the Benefit on Broadway, we
have requested assistance for specific items
for the school and have raised over
$75,000!
Tonight, following the Live Auction, we ask
that you raise your bid paddle to support a
very special need of the school called the The
Guardian Angel Fund. The money we raise
tonight will help Mercy families that
experience an unforeseen crisis that affects
their ability to pay tuition. Such events may
include the loss of an immediate family
member, loss of employment, serious medical
issues or natural disaster.
To give an example of the type of need this fund will meet,
junior Kara Thomas will share her family’s struggle through
hard times and how Mercy was able to step in to help. The
Guardian Angel Fund will ensure this type of assistance will
always be in place for our wonderful Mercy families.

50/50 Split
Pick a card from the deck, hang on to your half and the other half goes into the pot to be drawn out once all
cards from the deck have been sold. The winning card holder will “split the pot” with Mercy. The pot is
determined by the amount of numbers covered. For example, if the deck sells out at 52 cards, it pays $260;
30 cards, pays $150, etc. Cards will be sold throughout the evening and drawn as decks sell out. $10 per
card.
$25,000 Capital Prize
What would you do with our $25,000 Capital Prize? Purchase a BOB capital prize chance, and you could be the
lucky winner! The drawing is to be held the night of BOB at 10:30p.m. Capital prize chances may be sold out
by the night of the event. Only 2,000 chances sold. $50 per chance.

Live Auction Rules
The Live Auction begins at 7:00 p.m.
1. The Live Auction will take place during dinner and continues until all items have been auctioned.
Items can be previewed online or in the gym beginning at 6:00 p.m.
2. Payment by the successful bidder may be made when the Money Room opens at 8:45 p.m., or at any
time during the remainder of the evening. Payment should be made by cash, check, VISA, MasterCard,
American Express or Discover Card. Payment in full is required before the end of the evening.
3. All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds on any items, except where specified.
4. Values set forth for the items being auctioned are donor estimates and are not warranted by Mercy
for tax purposes or for general value.
5. To claim your Live Auction item, you must exhibit a PAID receipt to one of the Mercy Academy officials.
6. Use only the bid number assigned to you.
7. Some Live Auction items may have a minimum opening bid.

Bidding: A minimum starting bid is required for all items. Bids must be made as indicated on bid sheet. Persons desiring to make a bid may
do so by writing their name and bid number on the equivalent bid amount on the auction sheet. Bid sheets are collected at the time
the auction area closes.

The money room is open 15 minutes after the closing time of each silent auction area. Items may be paid for at this time or at the
end of the evening.

If a bid is disqualified for any reason, then the next highest bid is honored. Only Mercy Academy officials can disqualify a bid.

An auction official may disqualify your bid if you are blocking another bidder prior to the closing of that silent auction area.

In the event of a dispute, the auction official is the final authority and determines the winning bidder.
