FORD
Life in Pawleys Island was always an escape from reality for those of us who
grew up here. Vikky Gentry Ferris has written a play dealing with that life in the
mid ’60s. The Vietnam War was hitting families hard. People’s thought processes were changing. Life seemed to be taking a turn from the simple years gone by.

honored to do so. We have a great cast with several “new to the stage” and an
impressive 8 year-old who is a seasoned performer. It has been great working with them and with those that I have worked with before Jo Camlin and

stage manage and the couples who volunteered to perform during the scene
breaks and at intermission and April Bensch for giving us permission to use

Jo Camlin [Aunt Trudy] is backkkk!!! She is a veteran member of SFP and been
on stage or somewhere backstage for most performances over the years. She retired from Human Resources at Georgetown Steel in 2006. Not one to stay idle,
she is now a civil processor with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Department.

Patti L. Johnson [Clara] Maybe it’s the Law of Attraction that led Patti to her
first role ever on stage at Strand Theater. In 1986, Patti was 28-years old, divorced, and mother of her young son, James. Years later as Clara, Patti draws
from her own experiences, playing the mother of a young woman in similar
circumstances and afraid of what might lie ahead.
Rachel Tomovski [Laurie] born in Toronto, obtained a B.A. in Theatre Arts at
University of Toronto and a B.Ed from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON.

Cameron Tedrow [Jimmy] is an outgoing 3rd grade student with a huge smile
and a passion for the arts. He enjoys music and is a first and second place winner in storytelling. He loves to play basketball and soccer. His desire to perform
has brought him to work on stage with the Swamp Fox Players for the very first
time. Cameron lives in Pawleys Island with his parents and 2 brothers.
Daniel “DJ” Colvin [Kyle] lives in Pawleys Island with his wife and sons. He
loves living the beach life with his family. He enjoys the outdoors and volunteering in his community. DJ’s been involved in the turf grass industry for over 20
years. He is a Conway High School graduate and has lived most of his adult life
in Georgetown County. He has deep family roots in Blue Grass Music and likes
to play the guitar. He enjoys being on stage and working with others. This is DJs
first time performing with the Swamp Fox Players.

Our season ticket prices have not increased in several years. There are several advantages
to having a season ticket. One advantage is each ticket is $12.50 and the second is you
receive a notice of the upcoming play three (3) weeks prior to opening. Remember by
making your reservation in a timely manner we are better able to seat you in the area
you desire. Reservations are taken in the order in which they are received.
