comp 1
I suppose this is the more traditional approach to a gallery page. I tried to align
everything. I wanted this comp to look more familiar to the audience, namely parents.
The big banner on top of the page makes it easy to find the way back home, and the
cookie crumb trail also helps in keeping track of where the visitor is. I chose to make the
thumbnails kind of big for the ease of viewing ( i would think parents would like that ). I
kept the scrolling idea from the original wireframe. I also tried to "color-code" things as a
means to help navigate.

EVELINE LAI
"LIQUID POVERTY", 2005
Creative Web | Prof. Daniel Sauter
Water is the most precious of all resources, an essential component of almost every human activity, and vital to the health of all
ecosystems. People in rich countries use 10 times more water
than those in poor ones. This project shows the dramatic difference between 5 water-rich countries and 5 water-poor countries.
Water is not running out: it is simply that there are steadily more
of us to share it, and we definitely need to start sharing water.

comp 2
This comp is designed for students, or younger individuals. I think the page would be
well-suited for younger people because it is less conventional-looking, and people like
"new" things. I wanted to have less content on the page so it wouldn't be so cluttered,
and in the end i opted to make the thumbnails and everything else smaller. I left the
"undergrad gallery" big, once again for the ease of navigation. I decided to put student
names next to "undergraduate" and the thumbnail pictures under "gallery" to give more
order on the page. I kept color to a minimum to make the page less busy.

comp 3
This comp is the combination of the other two, and is subsequently designed for both
parents and students. I kept the tabs from comp 1, and from comp 2 I kept the way the
students' names are arranged. The thumbnails are still there, but they also remain small
in order to give emphasis on where the visitor is, the "undergraduate gallery." However,
I intend for the pictures to scroll and enlarge as the cursor moves across the list of
names. The cookie crumb trail, banner, and search bar all remain in the same spot to
give a sense of familiarity.
