During Aerobatic Experience in MiG-29 several types of maneuvers
such as Rolls, Loops, Low Level Pass, Flying Inverted, Hammer Head,

your state of health.
You can choose your best variant of Aerobatic Program between a
Subsonic Flight for 25 minutes and Supersonic Flight for 45 minutes.
Your visit to Airbase “Sokol” will take about 3 hours, but the memories
will last a lifetime.
Flight preparation takes half an hour where you can talk to the pilot
about the Flight Program, have a blood-pressure check, put on a special
G-suit, helmet and oxygen mask.
When ready, you will be moved to the airfield for an inspection of the
Unique Jet Fighter which is the envy of world Aircraft Industry. You will
check all aircraft parts under the supervision of your pilot, and then he will
give you a detailed explanation of the instruments and displays inside the cockpit.
After take-off the pilot will begin to perform the Aerobatic. Some elements can be performed over the “Sokol”

G-forces range between 3G and 9G. You can adjust your Flight Program according to how you are feeling,

of Space” Flight combined with the experience of Aerobatic maneuvers in MiG-29 Fighter Jet.
This program has existed for more than three years. We created this program to satisfy our customers
who wants to meet two goals –to reach the Stratosphere (an altitude of 19-20 km) and to experience high level
Aerobatic, on top!
The “Edge of Space” & Aerobatic program starts with achieving the Stratosphere. You will feel the
adrenaline rush as you are climbing to the “Edge of Space” at supersonic speed! It is your chance to observe the
Earth from a tremendous altitude. You will see the highly distinctive boundary between the blue sky and black outerspace.
After reaching the maximum altitude the Jet Fighter will descend to the altitude between 1 and 6 km, and the
Flight will be continued with Aerobatic maneuvers– from basic to the most advanced – the level of difficulty will be
based on your level of fitness and health. Flying Inverted, the Hammer Head, the Roll, the Loop, the Low Level
Pass, Tale slide and other maneuvers will be performed. The “Edge of Space” & Aerobatic Program lasts 40-45
minutes.
The pre-flight preparation and aerobatic program is the same as in the 45 minutes Aerobatic Program and will
include all the great maneuvers with G-force from 3 to 9G.

Sample day schedule:
9 am - 9:30 am – you will be welcomed at a Hotel reception by
our English speaking representative.
You will be chauffeured to “Sokol” Airbase in one of our business
class cars. During the trip, you will pass the historical downtown
area of Nizhny Novgorod.
9:30 am – 9:45 am – arrival to “Sokol” Airbase gates, with
security check procedure. It will be necessary for you to keep
passport and migration card ready. Photo and video cameras are
prohibited in the Airbase territory. So, we strongly recommend
you to purchase unforgettable movie from our company and
get a lasting memento of your MiG-29 Flight in Russia.
9:45 am – 10:30 am – transfer from “Sokol” gates to Sokol
Airbase Museum for a guided tour (only for flying person,
accompanying people are not allowed to the military
security areas). The museum is located inside the airbase and
available exclusively for our clients. You cannot visit it just coming
in from the street. The museum is a separate 2 floors building. In front of it you will see historic preserved aircrafts,
such as – La7, MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-21, MiG-25, MiG-29 and MiG-31.
10:30 am – 11:00 am – transfer to the “Sokol” flight station where your will get acquainted with pilots and instructors.
During the briefing, pilot will describe the Flight Program, you can voice your preferences and we will do our best to
satisfy them.
11:00 am – 11:15 am – Medical check. Our doctors will check your blood-pressure and your general health
condition. A special medical check in advance is not required.
11:15 am – 12:00 am – you will go to the dressing room and put on a special pressure G-suit and your personal
Flight Suit (if ordered). Here, you will also be shown how to use your helmet and oxygen mask. All the processes will
be recorded by our camera man. (If you are accompanied by the friends or relatives we will organize Briefing,
Medical check and Dressing stages out of “Sokol” airbase therefore they can watch your preparations.)

12:00 am – 12:30 am – trip to the runway, together with your pilot, for your personal MiG-29 flight. The pilot will
explain all the instruments and radio communications to you, as well as details about the aircraft, and the cockpit.
After all explanations, the canopy will close and the aircraft systems will be checked on the ground.
Now you are ready for show time!!!
12:30 am – SHOW TIME. Depending on your Flight
Program you will spend 25 to 45 minutes in the air
performing the flight of your dream! You will feel the power
of the aircraft, just after take-off, the speed will be extreme!
Ready for maneuvers?
Welcome!!! At first, our pilot will check your condition
with small G-forces, increasing it according to your
reactions. If you are ok – the air show starts! Loops, rolls,
Inverted flight, amazing Tail Slide, spectacular Law
level pass, Hummer head and Pugachev Cobra! Of
course, you will pass the sound barrier with speeds
from 1.1 to 2.5 Mach, depending on the MiG-29 aircraft
and flight program!
Your dream comes true! Your trip to Russia is real!
Now you are a real pilot of the famous MiG-29 Jet Fighter!
Here, at an altitude of 65,000 feet and speed of Mach 2.5
you will understand that you made right choice to fly MIG-29 in Russia!
The link for downloading your pictures and video will be sent to you by e -mail within 10-15 days after your
flight.
Approx. 1:30 pm 1:45 pm – landing on the runway. After the canopy opens, you will climb down to the ground and
realize just how big our planet really is, which seemed so small from the “Edge of Space”. You will have a chance
to make special professional photos with your pilot standing in front of the MiG-29 fighter for a wonderful memory of
your tour to Russia. But it’s not the end of the program at Sokol airbase…!
1:45 pm – 2:30 pm – after changing again, you
can relax after your exiting MiG-29 Flight and get
ready for a special ceremony. Your pilot and the
“Sokol” Airbase staff will present you a personal
Certificate, confirming your Flight in MiG-29.
All flight parameters will be written in the
Certificate. If you’re a pilot and have your own
log book–a special signature will confirm your
flight hour on the legendary MiG-29 fighter! Of
course, this historic moment will be included in
your MiG Flight movie and photo album.
2:30 pm – 2:45 pm – you can say «Goodbye»
to the Sokol staff and get ready to return for your
next MiG Flight. Now you are the part of our
family!
You will be escorted to the company gates
and then to your hotel. It’s a good time to celebrate
your MiG Flight in a Russian restaurant with real
Russian vodka! A Jet Flight with Russian vodka

What are the most popular ways?
There are several options to arrive to Nizhny Novgorod. You can
fly through Moscow or get a direct flight to Nizhniy Novgorod
from Frankfurt (Germany) by Lufthansa airlines. We offer MiG-29

What are the time frames for MIG-29 jet flight booking and choosing of a flight date? Why is it necessary
to book a flight in advance?
You should book your flight and choose a date 65 dates in advance. Such requirements are applied due to long
Security Clearance process. The access to the Sokol airbase is restricted for civil people. We can start the
reservations after we signed a contract with the customer.
How serious are medical requirements for tourists? What will be, if I will not pass the medical check at
Sokol right before the flight? For what kind of health problems such jet flights are not recommended?
Medical requirements are rather easy for tourists. You must understand
that good health is necessary. But generally there are no special
requirements. The flights are prohibited only for people who had heart,
back and brains surgery. We are sure, that you will be permitted for
the flight at the medical check right before the flight; because it’s more
formal inspection included the blood pressure check and general
briefing with a doctor about your claims. If you wish - you can check
your health in advance with your local doctor. You don’t need to give us
any medical certificates. We have a lot of tourists at the age of 60-70
years and they performed their flights in MiG-29 without any problems.
We have been organizing flights for more than 7 years and we have
had more than 200 flights already. And there were no cases when our
tourist could not pass medical check or was not allowed to fly in MiG29.
Are there any age requirements for the MiG-29 Flight?
Yes. To perform a flight you must be from 18 to 70. But we can discuss individually, if you out of this range.

How much time does it take to prepare for the MIG-29 flight?
The preparation time is about 2 hours and includes a briefing with your
pilot about the flight program and maneuvers, medical check, dressing
to the G-suits, technical training about the aircraft, cockpit training. You

Can I create my individual tour program?
We will do all our best to follow your requirements. Just contact us in
advance and we will try to arrange the additional points in your journey
and also in your MIG Flight program. Of course, your wishes are
limited by technical security requirements.
What programs have you got for the flights?
We have 4 main flight programs:
MIG-29 Subsonic Aerobatic Flight (25 minutes) with all main
aerobatic maneuvers;
MIG-29 Supersonic Aerobatic Flight (45 minutes) with strong aerobatic maneuvers;

What happens if I get sick and can’t arrive?

Will I get sick during a flight?
Most likely not, provided you follow our simple
guidelines. Less than 5% of people are actually
sick during a flight. We ask that you avoid alcohol
for 24 hours before the Flight. Eat light meals at
the usual times on the day of the flight. Also avoid
taking anti-nausea medication, as it tends to make
you sick.

Are cameras allowed at the Air Base?
No. Only our authorized camera man can film at the base. We recommend you to order DVD film and photos
package together with your tour.
Can my friends or family members accompany me? Will be this interesting for them? What they will see?
Of course, you may take 1-3 persons with you to see your MiG-29 Flight. They also must send us copies of their
passports and questionnaires. They will accompany you at the air base; they will see your preparation before the
Flight, medical check, changing clothes, etc. But they won’t be able to come close to the aircraft. They will see your
taking-off and landing at the distance of 400 meters from the aircraft.

What is included in the price
calculation? Can it be less?
The price is strongly depending from the
fuels price. From 3 to 5 tons of fuel is used
for one Flight. Also about 120 employees
of Sokol are involved in the Flight
performance - security, navigation, doctors,
firefighters, technical staff, pilot, special
laboratories, etc. Your safety is our priority
and we prefer not to minimize this.
Can I purchase a «MIG-29 Flight» as a gift to my friend or girlfriend?
