The Social Awareness Ministry meeting for June ONLY is rescheduled for Thursday, June 13. K of C Spaghetti Dinner Saturday, June 1 5PM You are invited to a free Workshop, Creating a Catholic Legacy, to learn about Wills, Power of Attorney, and Trusts on Wednesday, May 29 from 10:30am—12pm. Santa Catalina Parish and the Catholic Foundation for Stewardship and Charitable Giving for the Diocese of Tucson are hosting this free workshop. This workshop is designed to help you understand the importance and significance of creating a legacy and learning the various ways to do that. This will be a 90-minute interactive presentation, allowing plenty of time for questions, all facilitated by a volunteer attorney. Find out why you should have a will and how to plan for it. Also, learn about ways you can make a donation, yet receive income for the rest of your life when you make a gift to the Catholic Foundation for Santa Catalina Parish. Through planning your will, you can make a legacy gift to support Santa Catalina Parish or any other program in our Diocese. Special thanks to Tim Struse, Attorney at Law, for offering his time to present this workshop. Parish Hall Tickets, $7 per person, are available for purchase after all Masses this weekend. Please check with your audiologist to insure that the “T” coil on your hearing aid is activated. This hearing loop provides a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when properly set. If you have any questions about this system, or wish to give us your comments, please call Stacy at 825-9611, ext. 105. The Knights of Columbus Prolife Committee Throughout the Old Testament there is repeated emphasis on the humanity of the unborn. God had plans for us before we were born. Jeremiah 1:4-5, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” David discusses the spiritual state he was in before he was born. (His personhood began before conception.) Psalm 51:5 Come join us on Saturday, June 8 at 5:30pm (after the 4pm Mass) in the Parish Hall for a night of: PIZZAS PLUS BOARD & CARD GAMES Bring your favorite board game from home to share. This will be a great opportunity for parishioners, old and new, young and seasoned to come together and kick off our summer with a night of food, games, and prizes.
