THE JOURNEY
Santosha Yoga Teacher Trainings are truly unique and all students will feel supported loved and accepted
from the moment they arrive to begin their new journey.
Santosha’s teachers posses much knowledge understanding and teach from their hearts.
This is an inspiring training, which will take you on an amazing journey of self-discovery spiritually and
personally. You will empower others, be empowered & walk away from the training being able to live a
happier and healthier existence being far more connected to nature and others!
The Santosha YTT 200 Hour training is for those whom wish to teach or for those wanting to deepen
their understanding and practice of Yoga. This course allows each individual to experience the true
essence and meaning of Yoga through a unique and holistic synthesis, harmonized amongst the teachings
of ageless wisdom of ancient scriptures and philosophy applied in a contemporary context that students
can grasp and thus begin to put into practice in their daily lives.
Students will learn the integral foundations of Yoga so as to ensure all participants can practice safely,
teach safely, understand the breath and the mind and learn to connect to other human beings
compassionately. This experience is a wonderful odyssey on your path to greater self-awareness and
understanding. By incorporating yoga in its totality all will learn to teach and practice through their own
experiences and deepened knowledge.
The focus will be on all aspects of teaching and living the principles of yoga within a contemporary
context and language. It is an exclusive opportunity to grow, connect, and contribute to your overall
growth as a teacher and/or as a person.
The method of our Teacher Training is multi style, which concentrates on a creative fusion of Classical
Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Krama Yoga, and Iyengar poses woven together by a unique blend of vinyasa
flow that is accessible to all levels and abilities. The Yoga taught is not another ‘style’ of Yoga but an
authentic, integrated presentation of the whole spectrum of the ancient Yoga teachings. The course
teaches students how to teach for the individual, so the yoga suits the uniqueness of each person rather
than the individual suiting the yoga. Santosha will also teach each student how to design their own practice
so that their practice can be healing and create harmony in the body, mind and breath.
The course is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation for teaching yoga skillfully, intelligently
with compassion and awareness. This course has been noted to possess more depth and breadth of the
true Yoga teachings than any other course available, with a deep connection to heart.
The program combines a perfect balance including; asana knowledge and practice, yoga philosophy
and history, extensive anatomy and physiology, yoga therapy, the role of pranayama in the path of
yoga, the correct application of the bandhas, mudras, yantra, kriyas , teaching methodology and
practice, meditation, sequencing intelligently, chanting, asana names in sanskrit, ayurvedic medicine,
ethics of yoga teacher, sound healing, massage and energy transference and much more.
Santosha Yoga Teacher Training modules explore the skills required for the design and teaching of Yoga
in a range of settings from large groups in a studio or health club to private classes including yoga
therapy. The focus is on the ability to apply and understand these skills, especially for the selection of
appropriate practices for different class levels, from novice to the more experienced.
During the course, you will have opportunities to teach to your fellow participants and or real beginners in
small groups. In a safe environment, you will receive constructive feedback to allow your strengths to
become stronger as the time progresses. By the end of the training, your teaching will have transformed
into amazing power with intention.
The Training is designed to create the student to be a confident, precise, compassionate and effective
Yoga Teacher in a supportive, accepting environment, in which the student can begin to connect within,
to find his or her own internal wisdom and authentic voice. Other areas in the Teacher Training include
marketing skills, occupational health and safety, as well as the business aspects of managing a
professional yoga school or yoga business
Santosha is dedicated to each and every student. We care deeply about teaching our students how to be
safe, knowledgeable teachers that come to touch and feel the true meaning of Yoga and how it was
intended. All who share this magical path with us will leave with a smile on their face, a warm heart
and priceless knowledge!

OPTIONAL PRE/POST NATAL, CHILDREN AND TEEN TRAINING
Society is family in embryo
This course is provided at the end of each Yoga Teacher Training
200 for easy access and at a very reasonable investment for
students. Do not miss this opportunity to deepen your knowledge
so that you can cater for these markets, which in turn will allow
you to teach to a wider community and help to create a better
world. Inspire children, support mothers, allow teenagers to move
through their turbulent years with a sense of ease.
The Santosha Prenatal, Postnatal, Children’s and Teen Yoga
Intensive is an magical course that will provide you with the skills
and knowledge to share the benefits of yoga with new and
expectant mothers, children and teens. The course is suitable for
anyone interested in enriching their understanding of the
applications of yoga in these areas, whether your goal is to practice
as a specialist yoga teacher, apply the knowledge to your work in a
range of fields, or simply to deepen and evolve your own yoga and
life experience.
Santosha’s pre and postnatal course modules are formulated to
provide students with the knowledge, confidence and holistic
understanding of appropriate asanas and practices for safely
teaching pregnant women during and after pregnancy. Prenatal
Yoga classes provide an opportunity for expectant mothers to
develop greater vitality and awareness of their blooming body that is
home for two, as well as to deepen their relationship with their
unborn baby. Gentle postures, breath work, vocal toning &
meditation are taught to cultivate flexibility, calm and confidence in
preparation for labor and childbirth. Women are assisted to access
greater relaxation, comfort and enjoyment. Calmness & flexibility
ease the birthing process, thus reducing pain and increasing the joy
of giving birth. With prenatal yoga, women prepare for as active,
enjoyable and natural a birthing experience as possible. The course
provides practitioners with the skills to empower mothers and enrich
their experience of this transformational time in their lives.
The children and teen yoga modules offer a comprehensive
experiential based training that will give you the building blocks to
specialize in teaching children’s or teen’s yoga as a career. This is
fundamentally one of the most important and vital areas of yoga
teaching because teaching our children and youth will help to create
a profound change in our world. Planting the seeds of peace in our
children will allow them to experience the benefits of yoga, share
them and practice them throughout their lives! Teaching our
teenagers yoga can provide them with beneficial lifelong tools to
help them cope with daily stresses, navigate exams and deal
gracefully with the increasing pressures placed upon them as they
transition into adulthood. By sharing the magic of yoga with the
children and youth of today we are helping to create a better world
tomorrow, one child at a time.
