It has been a time of celebration and renewal of this mission to strengthen our love for the Mother of God. The Church is also celebrating the Holy Year of Mercy, a time of grace, peace, conversion and joy. It is meant for everyone: people of every age, for those far or near to the Church. The Novena is a time to pray with Mary and celebrate God's outpouring of abundant graces and crazy love. Everybody is Welcome! Fr. Brendan Callanan C.Ss.R. is originally from Cork. He made his religious profession in 1964 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1972. He has worked in Ireland, Brazil and Suriname. Since Easter 2015 he has been a member of the Redemptorist Community in Dundalk. Fr. Brendan O’Rourke C.Ss.R. is a native of Wexford town, was rector of Clonard in 1999-2002, and is currently rector of Esker Monastery in County Galway. He has lectured in Scripture for over 25 years and has preached missions throughout Ireland and abroad. He has recently been appointed to Clonard where he will coordinate its Peace and Reconciliation ministry. Ciaran also serves on the Redemptorist leadership team as Provincial Vicar. Fr. Gerry O’Connor C.Ss.R is a native of Limerick and a keen Munster Rugby supporter. He has worked for the past 13 years in Cherry Orchard Parish, Dublin. He is on the leadership team of the Irish Association of Catholic Priests. Traffic & Parking The Clonard Novena draws thousands of people each day to our Church and local community. We ask motorists to follow the directions of the stewards in the car park and to have special consideration for local residents and their parking requirements. We ask people, when possible, to car share or to use public transport New Novena Times In response to the survey completed at last year’s Solemn Novena, changes have been made to the times of Novena Sessions. We encourage you to carefully read the timetable overleaf to familiarise yourself with the new times.
