NCIAP - People’s Medical Care welcomes you all to the Shankar
Ehsaan Loy Concert.
NCIAP – People’s Medical Care (PMC), is a federally recognized
501(c) (3) charitable non-profit medical organization. PMC opened its
door to the public in April of 2011, and has since touched lives of over
7000 patients. PMC was founded to provide hassle free, quality primary
and urgent medical care to the uninsured Triangle area residents for a
nominal fee. We empower individuals and families of lower economic
means to seek medical care who otherwise lack access to costly
insurance based health care.
At PMC, our physicians provide comprehensive primary care for
patient’s urgent and ongoing needs. We make your visit easier by
providing onsite testing lab and EKG machine, at a very low cost. We
also coordinate care with various specialists and hospitals, many of
whom also see our patients at a nominal fee. Our mission is to charge
very affordable rates by eliminating administrative costs typically
associated with managed care. Most importantly, the success of our
model can be attributed to the generosity of physicians who volunteer
their time, and to other individuals who donate their time and money to
run the operation. PMC is unique in that access to care is not restricted
based on income, residence or any other such stipulations. Generous
support from Dr Sudesh Kataria Memorial foundation has enabled us to
serve patients who cannot afford event the nominal fee we charge for
services.
We are thankful to all for the warm support extended to the clinic. We
thank Arvind Mahajan of Livespectrum Entertainment for taking lead in
managing all aspects of organizing this huge undertaking. The event
has helped our noble cause reach millions of people. We also thank all

The making of S-E-L
(Shankar Ehsaan Loy)
Ehsaan was doing jingles at Mumbai, and Loy was in Delhi. Loy
was writing for television then. There was a show called Quiz
Time, and Siddharth Basu gave him the first break. Loy then did
the music of Pranoy Roy's show "The World This Week", and
some theatre, Shahrukh's first serial "Fauji". When Loy moved
to Mumbai, he hooked up with Ehsaan and they started working
together on jingles. Shankar used to sing for their jingles (Indian
parts). He used to freelance as a singer with several music
composers, and then launched his first album 'Breathless'.
It was that time in the 80's when things were different. There
was a lot happening in the world of music. Engineering was
becoming technology, and music was becoming visual.
SHANKAR was busy with his engineering career, EHSAAN with
his music, and LOY was thinking & drifting, thinking &
becoming. A film-maker, late Mukul Anand, got the 3 together
for his magnum opus 'Dus'. The track "Hindustani" struck a
chord, ripped through the charts and turned into an overnight
anthem. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the band, was born.
Scoring for films, advertisements, the works. S-E-L started to
merge with something that everybody would sink into with open
arms. The freshness of good vibrations, melody and beats. "Dil
Chahta Hai" perched them atop the rest and "Kal Ho Na Ho"
fetched them a National award. SEL is here to stay. But behind
these layers is the other side of SEL that constantly engages in
creating awareness, raising funds and helping those who really
need it. This is the most definitive pitch with which the trio
continues to walk on... making every listen worthwhile.
