WATCH FOR 2015 CHANGES TO MY HEALTHY SPIRIT liveup
Jan. 9, 2015 | Volume 15 | Issue 1 watch for 2015 changes to my healthy spirit In early January, the new My Healthy Spirit program for 2015 will be unveiled. The program has been enhanced and re-designed this year to make it more effective and simpler for participants to use. In 2015, monetary incentives will completely replace the point system from past years. The total possible incentive – only for staff members and spouses covered by Mercy’s insurance plan – is $450. This amount includes a $150 insurance premium reduction, with additional incentives to be paid into a health spending account (HSA) or health care incentive account (HIA). The $150 premium reduction will be paid starting after July 1, 2015, for completion of both the biometric health screen (or physician documentation) and the Personal Health Assessment (PHA). These items must be completed prior to April 30 in order to be eligible for the My Healthy Spirit incentives. premium automatically for completion of the biometric screening and PHA. Additional incentives will be based upon results of your biometric screening tests. If your glucose and LDL results, blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) are all within normal range, an additional $300 will be placed into your Health Incentive Account (for those with Core or Basic insurance plans) or in the Health Care Savings Account (for those in the high deductible medical plan option). Modified “normal” lab ranges will be used for nonfasting blood work. If you have some numbers out of the “normal” range, you may participate in health coaching or Healthy Spirit activities to earn those incentive dollars. Once staff members and spouses have participated in those activities, they are given the entire incentive amount of $300 for the year. Please watch “Mercy News Briefs” for more detailed information about the walk-in biometric screenings and how to access the Personal Health Assessment located on the CHI Healthy Spirit web site. Incentive funds placed into these HSA or HIAs may be used toward eligible health expenses, deductibles, co-pays and co-insurance. Most incentive funds left in the account at the end of the year will roll over into the next year. The $150 premium reduction will be applied to your Watch for more details and here’s to a healthy 2015! liveup – leading the way Rachel Anderson, MSN, RN, program director for Mercy Center for Rehabilitative Medicine, recently commissioned an artist to develop artwork for the unit on 4 North.
