From Pastor Pete:
HAVE YOU HEARD?
I want to encourage everyone to
vote in the November 4 election.
Pat and I completed our absentee
ballots last night and got them in
the mail first thing this morning.
Your vote is important so don't
miss out on the opportunity to be
heard. Your vote counts!
Continue to pray for your church
leadership as we seek God's will in
putting together a 2009 Budget.
We are being challenged in the area
of finances and continue to look for
ways to do effective ministry and
be good stewards. We walk by
faith and trust God to guide us in
these days.
Through the
faithfulness of your tithes and
offerings we can continue to reach
our communities and world for
Christ.
The Harvest Faire is a huge
outreach and the congregation's
response to make it happen has
been awesome. I believe that we
are going to be given the
opportunity to connect with
hundreds of families on Friday
night. This is more than just an
event. It's a time where we believe
we can live out our mission as a
church to bless our communities,
provide a safe environment for our
children and give people the
opportunity to become familiar
with CLCC.
There are two great events that are
taking place in the near future that
would be wonderful opportunities
to invite un-churched friends and

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
STUDENT MINISTRIES PIZZA
FUNDRAISER.
On November 9 (all day), My Buddies’
Pizza is partnering with CLCC to help
us raise funds for the Student
Ministries program. All we are asking
of you is to eat one of your meals at My
Buddies’ in Lake Elsinore on that day,
and they will give us 30% of whatever
you order plus 20% of any money that
you spend on games that day.
EVERYONE WINS!!! The Student
Ministries’ program will benefit
through your help, and you will get to
eat GREAT FOOD and connect with
others that are there helping us as well.
Just make sure to let them know you
are with CLCC on that day. This will
ensure we will get the support you
brought in. Thank you so much for
partnering with us in this way.

The Many
Wonders of
Christmas
Ticket sales for the Women's Event's
Christmas Tree Luncheon began on
Sunday with about 35% of tickets
being sold. Excitement continues to
rise as groups are decorating their
trees and coming up with interesting
themes.
Men's Ministries, the last group to
announce their theme, is proudly
calling their tree, "Gone Fishing!" It
looks like a lucky husband or friend
is going to be the recipient of this
interesting Christmas tree.
You will find under the tree with the
theme,
"ON THE ROAD TO
BETHLEHEM" hand-carved pieces
from the Nativity story crafted by our
own Bill Kitchin. Now who wouldn't
want to own such original creations?
We wonder if Pastor Pete will take
credit for the tree that he and Pat are
decorating with the wonderful
theme of "Gold, Frankincense and
Myrrh.” Pat was overheard to say
that it was a smaller version of one of
the beautiful trees in their own
home.
The exquisite theme tree for the
luncheon is the Ramos’ Care Group
Tree. This beautiful creation features
a complete Lenox Nativity scene.
A total of 24 trees will be in the
Christmas Tree Forest and guests
will wander thru this Winter
Wonderland with carolers singing in
the background as they choose which
trees they would like to win.
Of course, Stephanie Edwards is the
star attraction, and as always, this
beautiful lady will be presenting her
special story.
Tickets are $18.00 and ticket sales
will continue until the November 22
event is sold out.
Committee, please note: The final
meeting for THE MANY WONDERS
OF CHRISTMAS will be on Monday,
November 10 at 9:30 a.m. in
Building C. This meeting is for Tree
Chairmen, as well as the executive
committee.
Celebrate Recovery meets every THURSDAY
from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the chapel
Join us tonight for dinner ($3 per person).
at 6:00 p.m. outside at the Pavillion
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, twelve-step ministry that
helps people work through their “hurts, habits, and hang-ups.”
Our goal is to create a safe environment where people can share and
receive support to help work through some of life's toughest issues.
Tonight: Kandy Hall will share her testimony.

Our Pastors’ Requests
Pastor Pete:
Continue to pray for the series of

specifically for application.
Pray for the church’s financial status
as much time is being spent on how to
best handle the shortfall that may
affect the future in the areas of staffing,
ministries and missions.
Pastor Kasey:
Pray that God would inspire and direct
the core leadership team as we look
into planning for the Christmas series
and early next year.
Pastor Bill:
Pray that God will develop faithful
leaders within the Celebrate Recovery
ministry.
Pray that God will bless our church
with the resources that are necessary
to do the ministry He wants us to do.
Pastor Ron:
Pray for wisdom in knowing how to
care for our missionaries.
Pastor Jay:
Pray as he meets with his leadership
team to further develop the Student
Ministries’ program.
Pray for the Student Ministries’ Pizza
Fund-raiser on November 9 to bring in
funds for the students. (For more
information, look under Student
Ministries in this ConneXion.)
Pastor Bryan:
Ast the Christmas Dessert Theater
tickets go on sale this week, please
pray for the guests who will be invited.
We are praying that this will be a great
opportunity to build relationships and
start spiritual conversation with our
friends and family members.
Judi Sellers (diagnosed with
breast cancer), John Spyksma
(colon cancer), Jean Plumb
(leukemia), Mel Bodle (lung
cancer), Mel LaBlanc (lung
