P1 recognises the need and embraces the value of protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. Within motorsport there is increasing sensitivity to the environment and Powerboat P1 has implemented a proactive strategy across the business. P1 sees its role as being a catalyst to speed development in the marine industry, to provide a promotional platform for the communication and enhanced adoption of next-generation technologies and impact spectator behaviour at events. By confronting the environmental issue head-on, P1 is taking the high ground and engage the marine industry proactively. P1 launched the P1 Marine Foundation in 2010, with the aim of educating and developing awareness for the marine environment. The Foundation is involved in all relevant strategic decisions at P1. — The P1 Panther’s engine has been awarded the Clean Air Technology Excellence Award — Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) template set up for all events, including a recycling programme.
