ANNUAL REPORT 2015-2016 Assistance League® of the Columbia Pacific 2015/16 Chapter Members 141 Volunteer Hours 7851 Nonmember Hours 362 “Your generosity and kindness helps heal a lot of hurts.” Clatsop County School Counselor Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific Assistance League of the Is a non-profit, all volunteer, organization whose philanthropic programs promote the well-being and self-esteem of children and teens throughout Clatsop County. PHILANTHROPIC PROGRAMS Operation School Bell We strive to shop locally and with the support of our local businesses, we provide shoes, coats and school clothing for children in need in all of the 15 schools in Clatsop County. Columbia Pacific Fundraisers Home and Chef Tour – We raised $ 20,766.51 Astoria Country Home Tour and fabulous local chefs made this our very best and most attended tour yet! Golf Ball Drop – We raised $13,453.57 A fun event for the whole family featuring a helicopter dropping 2000 golf balls for a chance to win packages donated by local businesses, a putting contest and golf lessons for kids, a Helping to find the right shoes-“Nike Night” Operation School Bell® Students Clothed Expenses: 654 $59,284.59 Duffle Bag Program Duffle Bags Provided Expenses: 41 $841.22 Cinderella’s Closet Gowns Borrowed Expenses: 96 $161.92 Athletic Scholarship Students Supported Expenses: 41 $4,105.00 Duffle Bag Program Duffle bags filled with a blanket, book, stuffed animal, pajamas, a set of clothing and personal items give care and comfort to children being placed into the foster care system. Cinderella’s Closet With an inventory of over 300 gowns, we invite all area girls to come and select a dress to borrow for their school dances. We should all be able to feel like princesses!! barbecue and kid’s raffle for a bike and more!! Direct Mail Campaign – We raised $26,763.75 An appeal through the mail to 2,000 Pacific North Coast residents to help clothe our local kids. Athletic Program Scholarship This Program gives every student the opportunity to participate in school sports and/or other Programs by providing funds for fees and gear. Grants and Corporate Contributions - $49,059.91 We can only accomplish this with our fabulous group of volunteers and our community support!! Thank-you all! Insurance/Accountant/Education $ 10,628.02
