With the economy entering a period of
adjustment, the past six months have
changed the game for the printing
industry in Hong Kong. This is especially
true for a commercial printer such as Asia
One. We are now contending with stiffer
competition within a shrinking market.
So far, thanks to the hard work and
intelligence of staff members from all
departments, Asia One has performed
extraordinarily well in this difficult
environment. Although we haven’t met
our target of double-digit growth, our
performance is certainly the envy of our
competitors. While they have generally
adopted a defensive posture, we are
still driven by an entrepreneurial spirit.
Indeed, we opened a new branch of Asia
Premium Solutions Ltd in Taiwan last
summer, and in November we expanded
into a new business by setting up
Schneider Mini Storage.
In short, though we never neglect our
core printing business, Asia One is
always interested in exploring new
opportunities. We create our own
breakthroughs. Our efforts over the years
have even recognised by the Hong
Kong Young Industrialists Council, who
recently gave Asia One its Hong Kong
Awards for Industries - Upgrading and
Transformation Award.
We’re also known for caring about the
true core of our business: our staff
members. To that end, we recently
improved our work environment with the
addition of a new multifunction room on
14/F, and with new enhancements to our
already popular rooftop garden.
The challenges ahead of us in 2016 are
undoubtedly considerable. But as many
long-time staff members know, we have
surmounted greater challenges in the
past. Our teamwork and persistence will
ensure that Asia One keeps flourishing
for a long time to come.

Farewell Dinner for Michelle
On 16 November, a farewell dinner was organized for Michell Tam to mark the
end of her 2804-day journey with Asia One. Michell joined Asia One in 2008 as a
Management Trainee. With her hard work and contribution, she was promoted to Sales
Manager. During her final year working at Asia One, Michelle put a lot of effort into
forming and promoting our new marketing services unit, AO+. She also participated
in our recent projects for Swire, China in Print 2015, etc. As Michelle’s husband was
assigned to work in Singapore, she decided to start a new page in life outside Hong
Kong with her family. Colleagues from different departments attended and wished her
goodbye. All the best to Michell and her family!

Congratulations
Many good things cheered us up over the past six months.
Our warmest best wishes go out to Suzzette Pang,
Peggy Wong and Chester Lee, who just became parents.
Congratulations from all of us!
Organic Vegetables for Staff
Giving out free organic vegetables to staff
members twice a year is a usual practice of
Asia One. On 4 August, organic vegetables
planted by Mission Healthy Greens are sent
to Asia One. All the staff members are glad
to receive the fresh and healthy organic
treat.
Rooftop Garden Renovation
After the renovation in August, the Rooftop garden is now
a better place for staff members to take a break amid the
bustling work. Also, with the organic vegetables planted on
the rooftop, the environment is beautified by such greenery.
All departments are free to claim a piece of farmland and
enjoy farming. Stay tuned for the next harvest!
