Zane Wilmans - Director
Zane is a well recognized figure in the security
industry in Ind ia having worked on three Indian
premier league seasons ensuring security to both
teams and players. During the Mumbai terror
attacks he was one of seven South African security
specialists that was involved in saving 150 people
from the burning wreck of the famous taj hotel which was heavily
publicized in many media outlets across the world. He has featured in
Forbes Magazine, many TV interviews, guest speaker roles and recently is
featured in the nest sel ling book “the siege”.
Having worked in the Midd le East on a number of key assignments for a
leading security company for some time he then turned his skil ls to the
African market predominantly in South Africa where he has protected top
executives from fortune 500 companies through to high profile celebrities
and sports persons. The type of industry leaders he has protected range
from the financial sector to mining and investor groups. Celebrities that
Zane has protected range from top Hollywood stars, talk show hosts and
major sports stars.

Due to his success with Nichol ls Steyn & Associates he was promoted to head
of operations in India where he was instrumental in setting up a variety of
contracts and establishing a larger presence in Ind ia for Nichol ls Steyn &
Associates. Subsequent to that Protexx was formed with one goal in mind

the Ind ian market and the Asian sub continent.
Duncan Sangster - Director
Duncan has 13 years military experience with
the British Army. During his military career,
Duncan served al l over the world with a number
of d ifferent units, gaining experience in counter
terrorism, crowd control, intel ligence,
surveillance, reconnaissance and
communications, as wel l as force protection.
Duncan retired from the Army in 2005 having completed two tours at the
rank of Major. Since 2005 Duncan has worked as a security consultant, in
the UK as wel l as extensively throughout Africa, Asia and the Midd le East.
His clients have ranged from private super yacht owners to multinational
oil and gas companies.

Duncan is security vetted by HM Government (UK) and carries Security
Clearance (SC) to Top Secret level. He is an SIA qualified Close Protection and
VIP Protection Officer and a City & Guilds Adult trainer.
Sports Event Security
Since 2008, Duncan has worked predominantly as a security consultant for
major sporting events, including the FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2009 in
Nigeria, the FIFA Under-20 World Cup 2009 in Egypt, the Indian Premier
League Twenty/20 Cricket 2010 in India and the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South
Africa.

• Risks assessment of stadiums and key locations, such as team hotels,
working with Local Organising Committee (LOC) and local authorities
to implement improvements
• Liaison with local and national authorities in developing and
implementing security measures for major sporting events
