Positive reinforcement and praising Building relationships with students Provide feedback to students Provide opportunities for students to succeed Invest time in students Utilize discipline that keeps students in school Highlighting What We Do NEHS Toy Drive – Giving Tree School Building Improvement Meals on Wheels Highlighting What We Do Peer Mentorship Program Volunteer students – “Job” Paired with at‐risk students (week by week) Lunch/Recess Help get lunch – model appropriate lunchroom behavior Help on the playground – Teach social skills Encouraging social interaction – problem solving Highlighting What We Do Peer Mentorship Program 3rd year of program Parents/teachers of mentors report increase in confidence and leadership skills Parents/teachers of Mentees report increase of social skills and positive behavior choices Mentors are recognized at year ending assembly Responsibility Roles Findings What have we seen as a result of our programs?
