Rally of the Valley, 28 October-1 November 2005
“ Keeping the dream Alive”
Held over the Melbourne Cup weekend, the ninth Rally of the Valley received 80 entries
representing 20 Clubs from NSW, South Australia and Victoria.
Points of interest: after taking part in the Wool Week Festival at Euroa and visiting an award
winning garden at Strathbogie, the first day came to an end with a spit roast at our club rooms.
Sunday was spent visiting Tocumwal Aerodrome to learn of the wartime history of this famous
landmark, including lunch at Sportavia Restaurant.
The last full day saw our members play a full part, visiting the homes of Allan and Jean Weeks,
Frank and Enid Tobias, Don and Joy Lock. Lunch was supplied by the Uniting Church Evening Fellowship
Group. Monday evening saw the Rally of the Valley Dinner Dance.
Tuesday’s early morning breakfast for 83 participants drew the rally to a close.
