What is audio-sync and how does it work?
Much like Shazam, the Spylight App listens to what users are watching on TV and can identify
TV shows down to the scene.
How does Spylight know exactly what the actors are wearing on screen?
Spylight has access to the wardrobe departments of many of television’s biggest shows, giving us
the information necessary to provide exact matches to the items you see on screen. In addition to
this, Spylight has created a proprietary system infrastructure and database to host, process, and
channel the enormous quantities of data that we collect regarding what characters are wearing in
each scene. It takes a small army of highly skilled fashion experts paired with exclusive access to the
production set of a show to yield timely, accurate, and relevant data for our growing collection of
TV shows and movies.
What happens when an exact match for an item is not available?
Our proprietary system, combined with access to Hollywood wardrobe departments, yields a very
high percentage of exact matches. But in case these products sell out quickly, or are prohibitively
expensive, we make it our business to offer close matches at a variety of prices. This way, even
when it is not possible to find an exact match, we ensure that we provide an accurate range of
similar options for our users.
