In 2000, Jason began Kimm TEA LLC, a business that produces soil organisms that benefit the plants grown on the family farm. Kimm TEA LLC also sources and supplies specialty fertilizers to other farmers and ranchers in Montana. In 2006, Yvonne and Jason began Kimm’s Organic Potatoes, a business that sells organic produce locally and seed potatoes throughout the Western United States. The Kimms have developed a philosophy of agriculture that strives to wisely implement today’s best technology. They strive to glorify God by “producing high quality seed and food, utilizing long standing wisdom and forward looking science, providing work for community and family, and praying we have the ability to enjoy the labor of our hands and that God will establish it.” GOOD THINGS ARE GROWING AT KIMM SEED POTATOES IN MANHATTAN, MONTANA Yvonne (Vaags) Kimm (’98) and Jason Kimm (’98) The Kimms say that Dordt’s educational core focus which is rooted in Christianity and relationships has proved lastingly formative. “If we had to make that decision again, both of us would choose Dordt,” agree Jason and Yvonne. “The personal care and individualized instruction, particularly in the higher level courses, given by the professors is still bearing the fruit of relationships and passion for learning,” says Jason.
