An accident or mishap is an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance, often with lack of intention or necessity. That’s what happened to me when I fell & had to have knee surgery. It did necessitate a “stand-in” for the July General Meeting! Thank you to Dick Cattelona for his able assistance and to many others for their help & good wishes. The Club is surviving our Florida summer with well attended Friday Nite dinners, successful Birthday Celebrations & many Bocce players enjoying the new patio tables. We are all looking forward to the Pig Roast this month & to the many planned events for the upcoming season. Remember that “involvement equals enjoyment”! Your help is always appreciated. HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE BOARD
 Treasurer Barbara Terzi reported sales of novelties during Friday nights are doing well & will be ordering other items to sell as well. Eg: Logo T-shirts & mugs.
 Kitchen A/C was re-checked & serviced. Monitoring needed.
 Fine tuning of Freezer to be done by Beltram
 JVC projector has been repaired & reattached
 Board agreed to allocate $300 to continue supporting Venice High School volleyball with a Logo Banner & advertisement
 Trailers have all been moved & cleanup completed on their previous location.
 Considering privacy shrubs for Bocce Courts (north side)

The Club was “buzzing” on Sunday afternoon with 62 members helping to celebrate the Birthdays of: Justin Terzi, Jerry Ott, Linda Bastian, Bob Avena, Marian Booker, Phyllis Lucca & Nina Arzberger;; Anniversary couple: John & Joanne Tufaro;; & New Members: Patricia Bedinghaus, & Tony & Teresa Romano.
Thank you to the VIRZI Family & A delicious buffet included balsamic tomatoes, coleslaw, corn on the PETRACCO Family for their the cob, 3 kinds of chicken & French fries, all topped off with generous donations. They have each Rosemarie’s Ice Cream Birthday cake! The Chefs of the day purchased a Concrete Patio Table were Tom (Bar) & Dee Martorana, Evelyn Tarricone, Rich with benches for use on the new Dionisio, Dixie Clark, Rosemarie Francavilla & Emma & Jack Bocce patio. They will be a great Tarhalla. Birthday song in Italian by Beatrice Fumei! Thanks to remembrance for all Vic & Sophie contributed to the club over all for a wonderful party. A great way to spend an afternoon! the years. All members are very appreciative. Mille Grazie!
**The next birthday celebration will be Aug. 12th, hope to see you then. Joann Tufaro will be making her favorite family recipe of “Baked Ziti”! Yum!
