Civic/Integra EG/EK/DC2/DB8 Front subframe collars
Civic/Integra EG/EK/DC2/DB8 Front subframe collars Tools needed: Breaker bar, Ratchet, 17mm &19mm sockets Copper grease • Jack up and support the front of your car on the body (not suspension arms/wheels!) with axle stands. • Take a look at the collars in your kit. There should be 2 pairs with different wall thicknesses. • Locate the four main bolts holding on the subframe (one either side from the pics, shown in red). Slacken the compliance bush bolts as well (shown in yellow). • Remove one bolt and place a collar on it, then screw it in finger tight. Fit the thicker-walled collars first. • Once you have all four bolts screwed back in finger tight then tighten them all up. The collar may seem slightly tight going in, this is normal but double check you have not got the collars the wrong way round (thick walled vs thin walled) if you have any doubts. • Lower your car back down and take it for a test drive. There is a small chance that your tracking will need to be reset, but once set it should never need re-doing as your subframe is now fixed in place.
