WELCOME TO HAPO!
Hello New HAPO Member!
We are pleased to announce that the merger of Pine
Creek Federal Credit Union with HAPO Community
Credit Union was approved on May 31, 2016. We would
like to thank you for your ongoing patience and support
during the credit union merger process.
Since 1953, HAPO has been providing quality financial
products and services for people just like you and your
family. Our primary goal at HAPO is to deliver the best
possible service and value to meet your needs, while
operating in a safe and sound manner for our entire
membership.
On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, we plan to complete the final “Pine Creek system” conversion and
member data transfer over to HAPO. The Pine Creek
branch will close for one day (August 31st) and
reopen the following morning, September 1, 2016.
You will then have full access to HAPO’s additional 15
financial centers, ATM network and extended line of
financial services, including coming into the Pine Creek
branch and having immediate access to cash.
Your questions and feedback have been extremely
valuable and greatly appreciated during the merger
process. This guide has been created and will help you
understand the transition of your existing account and
includes a timeline with key dates and important information regarding your new HAPO account.
On behalf of the HAPO Board of Directors and your new
credit union, we again thank you for your support and
welcome you to HAPO Community Credit Union!
Sincerely,
Steve Anderson

Welcome to HAPO

5
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I close my Pine Creek account and open a new
HAPO account before the system conversion?
What information do I need to process a
transaction or to receive account information?
Yes. If you would like to close your Pine Creek account
prior to the system conversion you may do so at any
time. To open a new HAPO account, you may stop by
any current HAPO location or go to www.hapo.org to
utilize our online account opening service. If you have
a loan or an IRA account, it is strongly advised that you
wait until the system conversion.
At HAPO, protecting our member’s personal and
account information is one of our top priorities. For this
reason, you may be asked to provide your most current
identification and answer security questions. While our
goal is not to inconvenience you, we may also ask you
to provide us with additional information to complete
your member profile with HAPO. Your identification
may be requested on specific transactions and requests
as a method of verification. Security questions will also
be obtained for identification methods over the phone.
Will I have a new routing number?
Yes. HAPO’s routing number is 325181264.
Will my existing Pine Creek account number
change?
Yes. If your address on file at Pine Creek is correct, you
will receive a letter in August that will include your new
HAPO account number.
What if my address or contact information needs
to be updated?
It is very important that the Weston Branch has the
most current contact and mailing information for you.
Most correspondence regarding the merger and your
new HAPO account will be coming through the mail.
For security purposes, HAPO does not send mail to
accounts flagged with a bad address. If you need to
change your address or contact information, please
contact or visit the Weston Branch as soon as possible.
After the system conversion, you may call HAPO’s
Contact Center at 800-284-4276 or stop by any of our
Financial Centers for assistance with updating your
address and contact information.
Who can access my account?
Your new account at HAPO will reflect the same
account ownership as your Pine Creek account. Only
account owners may access or conduct transactional
business on accounts. Joint owners have full access to
all shares under the same account number.

you will be able to continue to use your card through
August 30, 2016. The last day you will be able to
load funds on your card will be August 19, 2016. On
September 1, 2016, the remaining balance on your
card will be deposited into your HAPO savings account.
Once the system conversion is complete, you can call or
come in to any HAPO location to request an ATM card
or open a free Checking Account and receive an Instant
Issue Debit Card. HAPO also offers a variety of VISA
credit card options for your convenience.
What will happen to my direct deposit and/or
automatic payments?
To ensure there is not a delay in the posting of your
direct deposit or automatic payments, after the
completion of the system conversion, please update
any direct deposits or automatic payment information
to your new HAPO account number and HAPO routing
number as soon as possible. HAPO will continue to post
your current Pine Creek direct deposits and automatic
payments to your new HAPO account until April 1,
2017.
Are there any account or service fees?
HAPO is committed to keeping fees to a minimum
and consistent with others in the credit union industry.
Please refer to the Common Features included with the
new account disclosures for additional information.
You will continue to follow the Pine Creek Fee Schedule
until the completion of the system conversion. Your
HAPO account will be subject to HAPO’s Common
Features/Fee Schedule after the system conversion.
Are my deposits insured?
Yes. Your deposits will continue to be insured by the
National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Please
contact HAPO’s Contact Center at 800-284-4276
or visit any of our Financial Centers for additional
assistance.
Will I get paid dividends on my
Pine Creek account?
Yes. Eligible Pine Creek accounts will receive a final
dividend deposit on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 and
a final paper statement will be mailed to all account
holders. HAPO dividends will begin to accrue on all
dividend bearing accounts after the completion of
the system conversion. More information regarding
dividends can be found in HAPO’s Rate Schedule
included with the new account disclosures.
What happens to my loan?
Your loan and any balance will be transferred to HAPO
during the system conversion. For secured loans, your
original loan contract will be honored. This means, no
changes to your rate or term.
Effective August 31, 2016, Line of Credit loans will
be converted to a close-end signature loan. The rate,
payment and due date of your signature loan will
remain the same as your existing Line of Credit. You
may continue to take advances until August 30, 2016.
Letters have been mailed to all Line of Credit holders,
however if you have additional questions, please
contact the Weston Branch.
Will I still have credit life and/or disability on
my loan?
No. The current credit life and/or disability insurance
provided by Cuna Mutual will be cancelled on August
31, 2016. If you would like to purchase new loan
protection, HAPO offers 3 great Debt Protection plans
in which you may be eligible for. Letters will be mailed
to all members who have credit insurance informing
them of the cancellations along with a Debt Protection
application with options available to protect your loan.
Welcome to HAPO
7
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How will my car insurance know about
the merger?
HAPO will attempt to notify your insurance agency of
the change in lien holder. Full coverage insurance will
need to be maintained on the vehicle. If your insurance
is cancelled, HAPO may purchase insurance on your
behalf, which may be added to your loan balance.
The coverage we purchase may be considerably more
expensive than insurance you can obtain on your own.
We also recommend that you contact your insurance
agency to confirm HAPO is shown as lien holder after
August 31, 2016.
How do I make payments?
Automatic payments to your loan that are currently
withdrawn from your Pine Creek account will be set up
to be withdrawn from your new HAPO account. You
may contact HAPO after the completion of the system
conversion to make desired changes or to set up a new
automatic payment transfer. Payments can be mailed to
HAPO’s corporate office at:
601 Williams Blvd., Richland, WA 99354
You may also make your payment at any HAPO
Financial Center. HAPO offers many automatic
payment options. Please visit www.hapo.org, call our
Contact Center at 800-284-4276 or stop by any of our
Financial Centers for additional information.
What will happen with my IRA?
If you currently have a Pine Creek IRA savings account,
any balance will be transferred to a HAPO IRA Time
Deposit account during the system conversion. Please
review the Terms and Conditions on Certificates and
IRAs included with your new account disclosures.
HAPO also offers IRA Certificate options. If you
are interested in more information on HAPO IRA
Certificates, please visit www.hapo.org, call our
Contact Center at 800-284-4276 or stop by any of our
Financial Centers.
Should I expect tax forms from Pine Creek?
If your account earned dividends in excess of $10
or you have an IRA, you will receive tax forms from
Pine Creek, HAPO or both in 2017. Upon receiving
your tax forms next year, if you have any questions
or concerns, you may call HAPO’s Contact Center at

to answer a few security questions and create your
