Time does fly, but before we leave 2005 completely, I have to mention what an AWESOME- IAEM Annual Meeting and Expo! Expo! we had here in Atlanta. The general consensus is in and we’re thrilled to say that in many regards, the IAEM Annual Meeting and Expo! Expo! 2005, this past December was the most successful event to date. The attendees and exhibitors had one of their best shows ever and many thanks belongs to IAEM and their wonderful staff for an exceptional job. To IAEM – Atlanta SE Chapter, our members did an outstanding job our behalf. The Networking Events were especially successful and have been receiving rave reviews and it’s all because of wonderful Southern Hospitality! On behalf of IAEM Atlanta SE Board of Directors, we want to thank our volunteers who gave their time and attention to act as official greeters for each event – it really made a huge impact! The continued support you give to the Chapter is extremely appreciated. Everyone connected to Expo, Expo 2005 – Atlanta, especially IAEM National, met our needs, responded to our challenges and exceeded our expectations in every way. August 2006 IAEM Atlanta SE Classic Back in December 2005, the Board of Directors held its annual retreat to begin planning for 2006. The Southeastern Chapter sponsors Quarterly luncheons with guest speakers that provide the latest expertise in various areas of our industry; along with the Annual SE Summer Classic that provides education and networking opportunities over a 1 ½ day program, so stay tuned for more details on each, coming soon. September 2006 Jenny Melton Memorial Golf Classic Is there is a topic you would like to hear about? Want to become a more involved with chapter events? Please contact us at [email protected]. Your participation is welcomed and encouraged! The partnership we have created is vital to our continued success, so on that note we are busy making preparations for this year’s Sponsorship Campaign. It is through past and continuing efforts of members like you that we can meet the expectations of future members. We look very forward to our continued partnership for 2006. As we start another year, remember the following: A customer’s first impression can make or break their attitude about returning to an event; set the stage for your customer’s opinion of the entire event – WOW them! Lastly, I would like to thank Patrick McGuire, our 2005 Chapter President for an outstanding job on all of our events this past year. Happy New Year!
