If you have questions, please contact me at 760.452.6661. Very truly yours, /s/ R. Washington, D.C. 20054 Delivered by e-mail Thank you for spending the time to discuss the Channel Islands ILEC Certification. I realize that you did not have time to review the entire record before our call and that you are new to this project. I believe all of your questions can be answered in our initial application dated June 25, 2008. Additional information can be found in our reply to Verizon’s comments dated August 15, 2008. Finally, information can be found in Michael Hazzard’s letter dated July 10, 2009. Specifically, in paragraph one on page two of our initial application we describe the area we seek to serve. On page three in paragraph one, we describe the technology we plan to use to provide Plain Old Telephone Service. In paragraph three, we further describe other services we plan to offer. Since Verizon will not be decommissioning their cell site that serves one small part of Santa Cruz Island, we do not plan to provide telephone service to the Nature Conservancy. I am attaching a map of the actual service locations that will allow us to bring the much needed phone service and internet access to the United States Park Service, Coast Guard, researchers, and residents of the Channel Islands. In addition, pay stations with emergency 911 access will be provided for the approximately 30,000 visitors a year who visit the Channel Islands. We look forward to discussing this with you next week. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation. Sincerely, Todd Lesser President Channel Islands Telephone Company cc: William Dever (e-mail) Claudia Pabo (e-mail) Michael Hazzard (e-mail) Dale Dixon (e-mail) Figure 2.2-1: Proposed Project Site Locations I12J Santa Barbara Ranger Statton Santa Cruz Smugglers Kiosk Anacapa Ranger Station 1m Santa Rosa Island Main Ranch San Miguel Ranger Station ~ Santa Rosa Campground San Miguel Marine Mammal Research Facility ~ Santa Rosa Air Quality Shed Santa Cruz Scorpion Housing Area ~ Santa Rosa Maintenance Office Santa Cruz Scorpion Adobe L!§J Santa Rosa Johnson's Lee House Santa Cruz: Prisoners Harbor Day Use Area [!§] Santa Rosa Housing Santa Cruz Del Norte Ranch [!I] Santa Rosa Power Slation Santa Cruz Smugglers Abode SOURCE: ESRI 2006 and RMT Inc. 2009 LEGEND W*E i!J Site Location if with CaHout D Channel Islands National Park Boundary u.s.
