the opportunity to share their career experience and
wisdom with current students. It is the perfect way
for alumni with busy schedules to volunteer.

Alumni Sharing
Knowledge
LinkedIn Group
The Career Development
Center has created a LinkedIn
group, Alumni Sharing
Knowledge (ASK), to bring
together alumni with current
students. It provides alumni
the opportunity to share their
valuable experience and expertise in the world of work, as
students seek advice and career
information. This LinkedIn
group enables back-and-forth
discussions, in addition to
direct contact. Please consider
joining the ASK group.

Founder and CEO, CaringBridge
Sona Mehring, founder and CEO of CaringBridge,
began the caring social network in 1997. In that

in response to a friend’s high-risk pregnancy. What
followed would become a valuable social network
offering ways for people to care for each other during
important health events. With extensive experience
in the information-technology industry, Merhing’s
vision was to build upon that formative and deeply
personal experience, combining the capabilities of
technology with the personal needs of people facing significant health challenges.

In his role with the Minnesota Vikings, Steve

Rocco’s focus for all aspects of programming at the Ordway is to bring the world
to the Twin Cities’ front door – this includes Broadway touring musicals, international music artists, shows produced right in the Twin Cities and more. His unique
experiences on both sides of the footlight have given him a deep understanding of
administrative, technical and artistic elements of every production. Rocco will talk
about how all the elements come together in well-balanced performing arts season.
