BREWTALITY ist harter, ausdrucksvoller und melodischer Rock gepaart mit
einer ausgeprägten 70er Stimme und dreistimmigen Chören. Musik die
einem roh und stinkig aus den Boxen entgegenhämmert, enghosiger Gesang, Falsett-Screaming und ausufernde Gitarren-Soli beschreiben die Musik dieses Power-Trios wohl am besten. Die Einflüsse der Band reichen von
AC/DC, Deep Purple, KISS, The Who und Motörhead.
ENGLISH
BREWTALITY is an Austrian Rock Band providing expressive and melodic
Rock Songs along with a marvelous Seventies Voice and choirs. Music,
which hits you straight in your face, serving a taste of ashtrays filled with
whiskey and beer, making you ready to hit the stage and party all night
long. BREWTALITY obtain their influences from bands like AC/DC, Deep
Purple, KISS, The Who and Motörhead.
BIOGRAPHY
MARK I
BREWTALITY is the result of a Rock band founded by three schoolmates at
the age of 14. Stevo (guitar, vocals), David (bass, vocals) and Olly (drums)
had the idea to become rock stars like AC/DC, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin
and Motörhead, as these bands were the early influences of the project. In
2003, after a few gigs and songwriting, the band recorded an EP called
"Girl Power".
MARK II
In 2004 Stevo left the band because of differences in musical taste, so the
band was looking for a suitable replacement, which was found with Manuel
(guitars, vocals) and Ario (guitars) for awhile. Manuel was the first to leave
and was replaced by Alex (guitar, vocals) after just one gig, while Ario left
a few months later.

In 2005 the band now called BREWTALITY recorded their second EP called
"Flesh" and started to build up a gig history by playing lots of gigs in the
Austrian capital Vienna and the outskirts surrounding. In 2006 BREWTALITY achieved their so-far peak by playing at the festivity of "30 years of
Arena Wien, a festival called "Sauzipf Rocks" in front of 2,000 listeners and
a winter follow-up called "Rock over Radenthein".
From 2006 to late 2009 the band blew up their experience in playing live
and loud with international acts like Asteroid (SWE), Blowback (SWE),
Mother Misery (SWE), Korpiklaani (FIN), Texas Motherfuckers (SWE), Pungent Stench (AUT), Colour Haze (GER), Mastic Scum (AUT), Phinius Gage
(UK), Cherry Overdrive (DK), Trashcan Darlings (NOR), Nebula (USA), Valient Thorr (USA) until Olly (drums) decided to quit the band due to personal reasons in January 2010.
MARK III
In March 2010 Bernd joined BREWTALITY as their drummer, left in November 2011, and was immediately replaced by extremely talented drummer
and musician Ben. Regular concerts and small festival gigs around Austria,
e.g. Donauinselfest (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015), Dr. Krise Rocks On Festival
(2012, 2013), Rock am Campus (2015), Sonic Heartbreak Festival (2015),
Frostrock Festival (2015), followed and at the same time extensive negotiations with labels and producers took place, resulting in an submission to
Österreichischer Musikfonds regarding the production of a full-length album.
In 2014 BREWTALITY started a crowdfunding campaign regarding album
production and began recording their forthcoming album “Giant Dose”.
Recordings were finished in 2015 and in late 2015 the Vienna-based record
label “Tempel Records” agreed on distributing the finished album.

BEZIRKSBLATT BAD SAUERBRUNN
Danach zeigten Brewtality bei Ihrem Burgenland Debüt, dass es abseits
von Starmania noch Hoffnung für Österreichs Musikszene gibt. Die drei
jungen Konservatoriumsschüler überzeugten neben ihren brillanten instrumentalen und stimmlichen Fähigkeiten auch durch Ihre Bühnenpräsenz, welche an die besten Tage von Rockgrößen wie The Who erinnerte.
EARSHOT Live Review
BREWTALITY steigern das Niveau erheblich: Ihr breitbeiniger, liebevoll
cheesiger Poser-Rock macht Laune; sahnige Soli, euphorische FalsettScreams und eine pumpende Rhythmus-Fraktion kommen motiviert und
gelungen wie immer. Und tatsächlich lässt sich der Metallerclub auch zu
weiten Teilen das Rocken lehren, zumal beim obligaten Klassiker-Cover
'Highway Star'. Habe zwar BREWTALITY auch schon vor heißem, kochendem Publikum gesehen, aber letzten Endes haben sich die Jungs wieder
wacker geschlagen.
RED BULL
Am frühen Morgen wurde der Brandwagen geentert und wurde gleich am
Naschmarkt dazu verwendet den 'Brunchern' den Morgen zu verrocken!
Viele Zuschauer, darunter auch eine begeisterte Polizeistreife, versammelten sich rund um den Brandwagen!
Der nächste Stopp war der Neusiedlersee in Podersdorf! Rocken am See, in
der Sonne vor Surfern und Wasserratten.
Zum Schluss kam dann noch das Beste! Der Wiener Rathausplatz. Vor der
beeindruckenden Kulisse des Rathauses spielten die Wiener Rocker eine
satte Stunde und begeisterten sehr viele Leute von jung bist alt! Eine brennende Straßenbahn hielt die Polizei lange weg von uns und konnte uns erst
beim Abbau eine Ermahnung geben. Vier Red Bull und die Staatsdiener
waren unser Gnädig!

Mit superdreckigem Rock grave a la Motörhead und AC/DC kommen
BREWTALITY daher. Die Burschen haben früh begonnen mit 14 Jahren
nämlich, mittlerweile sind alle knapp 18 Jahre alt und haben ihre Instrumente trotz juvenilem Alkoholzuspruch perfekt im Griff. Songs wie Girl
Power, Giant dose of Rock 'n Roll oder Motorbikin’ überzeugen mit gekonnten Riffs und wildem Gesang.

3 young guys, 3 furious instruments and 2 voices will blow you down with
an old-school Rock ‘N Roll show full of blood and sweat. Rock at it’s best.

Vorhang auf für eine kleine Perle des Schweinerock!
Zunächst gilt es, die superbe Qualität dieses Demos zu betonen: Von dem,
was hier an Soundklarheit und -druck geliefert wird, könnte sich manche
Underground - Kapelle was abschneiden! Die instrumentalen Fähigkeiten
der Rabauken stehen dem in nichts nach. Und auf der lobenswerten Aufnahme macht sich die stimmliche Sicherheit von Fronter Alex in mitunter
abenteuerlich enghosigen Tonlagen (Rob Halford lässt grüßen) noch weit
besser bemerkbar als live
Das wäre jedoch alles hinfällig, würde die Mucke nicht so großartig roh
und stinkig aus den Boxen hämmern - keine fünf Sekunden die CD im Player, und schon duftet der ganze Raum nach appetitlichen Whiskey-inAschenbechern-Cocktails - und solchen Leuten, die diese mit größter
Freude wegschütten. Rock n' Roll!
