KNOB
The SmartPanel enables the management of 48
input busses, outputs and/or VCAs via 12 rotary
knobs available across four layers. Any function
may be assigned to any knob. A 5th layer called “FX
Edit” allows you to adjust up to 48 parameters of
the plug-in currently in use.
A rotary knob above each fader handles panoramic gain control, or indeed any other function assigned to
it by the user.

- SI-8D3: eight mic/line inputs on eight balanced XLRs. The SI-8D3, which incorporates eight extremely high quality pre-amps, is the origin of the legendary
INNOVASON sound quality. Gain is adjustable from -27 to +63dB
- DI-8S: four inputs on four balanced XLRs provide eight AES input channels
- DI-8Src: four inputs on four balanced XLRs provide eight AES input channels,
each of which has its own SRC (sample rate converter). Accepts AES signal with

you can decide on the fly whether you want to adjust the analog gain of the preamps or if you want to
adjust it digitally (+/-16dB), which would enable you to have independent gain control if the remote audio
racks are being shared by several consoles.
The “User-Defined” section provides six VU meters, four rotary
knobs with ID light, and four switches with ID light. The user can
assign the function of his choice to any of these controls.
A navigation bar and a time code display are available on the control surface for rapid access to recording and
playback functions. You can also store and recall CUE memories. The “Desk Manager” and “REC Manager”
switches enable to flip from the mix screen to the recording screen at any time. Eclipse is a hugely powerful
production tool. Playing back the recordings can help you finalize your sound-checks, without the musicians!
That’s what we call “Virtual Sound-check”.
Onboard multitrack recording
The M.A.R.S. option includes a built-in 64-track recorder which
records directly onto a hard disk plugged into the back of the
console. A navigation bar and a time code module are available
on the control surface for rapid access to recording and playback
functions.

complete with a fully redundant power supply as
standard.
High quality internal effects
The internal effects from VB Audio can be used either via the aux sends or as inserts on
the console busses. They provide an impressive range of high quality effects which are
available as a list of plug-ins. The SmartPanel contains a dedicated layer which enables
you to adjust all of the effects parameters using the rotary knobs.
Local I/Os
64 inputs and outputs are available at the rear of the console.
There are six slots which will accept all INNOVASON I/O and
effects modules, and a further sixteen balanced line I/Os are
available on four SubD connectors.
Stage Boxes
Up to five remote audio racks may be connected to Eclipse via CAT5,
coaxial or fiber optic cable. The desk is supplied with an EtherSound interface as standard, which enables you to exploit up to 64 I/Os on an
Ethersound network.

Multi-purpose
Eclipse is a powerful mixing and recording console with the flexibility to adapt to any situation

Simple and flexible
Eclipse comes with fully processed, configurable balanced XLR outputs as
standard. You can choose between analog, AES or ADAT over fiber optic.
The processing comprises a dynamic section (gate & compressor), a 4-band
parametric EQ, a 31-band graphic EQ and a delay adjustable up to 460m with
variable output level.
The control surface is furnished with 48 faders and 48 fully configurable rotary knobs (spread
over four layers). The “SmartFAD” concept which is embedded in the new “SmartPanel” on
Eclipse takes the flexibility and personalisation of the console to the next level.
