About the project
Before Perfetti Van Melle deployed the Hanse Orga FinanceSuite AutoBank Automatic Cash Application the standard SAP functionality for bank statement reconciliation
was used. This process was time consuming and limited staff to work on other more
important tasks. Reducing the overall time spent on processing bank statements was
a key driver for process optimisation. Another important consideration in the selection process for Perfetti van Melle was the integration and compatibility with its SAP
environment, preferably fully integrated in SAP. The decision was made in favour
of Hanse Orga’s unique software solution FinanceSuite AutoBank Automatic Cash
Application. The module is a proven standard software solution that seamlessly integrates in the SAP environment as it is programmed in ABAP.

Early March 2009, Perfetti Van Melle and Hanse
Orga International started the project to automate the bank reconciliation processes at Perfetti van
Melle.
The implementation was completed in a short timeframe and in line with the agreed timelines. Today,
the bank statement reconciliation process is highly
automated, whereby the tasks that still have to be
performed by Perfetti van Melle have been reduced
to a minimum. The entire implementation project
was completed in only 2 months. The GoLive at the
beginning of May 2009 also went very well.
Perfetti van Melle is impressed by the good results
that the FinanceSuite Module AutoBank Automatic
Cash Application provided right from the start. They
assumed a new system would take some time to get
used to. But the adjustment period for AutoBank has
proven to be remarkably short.

The FinanceSuite AutoBank Automatic Cash Application optimizes the automatic cash application process through intelligent reconciliation features for
bank statements, incoming checks, remittance advices and lockboxes. The module is fully embedded
in SAP® and ensures highly automated processes.
