Mission, Vision, and Values A ministry of Maranatha Chapel
Mission, Vision, and Values A ministry of Maranatha Chapel, Maranatha Christian Schools partners with parents to provide a community where students experience God’s love, are encouraged to fulfill God’s unique call and purpose, and excel in their God-given gifts through academics, arts, and athletics. VALUE #1: Live Biblical Truth Some things important to us seem to be changing rapidly, sometimes on a daily basis… the price of a gallon of gas, the price of the homes we live in, our energy level, the size of our kids, the size of my waistline... The speed of these kinds of changes is hard to keep up with, at least for me. The good news is that there is one thing in life that does not change… ever. That is the Word of God. The Bible is the only book written by God, and to our eternal delight and His eternal glory, He has committed Himself to His word. It doesn’t change. We can count on what it says. In Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” We do understand that the Bible also refers to Jesus as the Word of God, and for a mighty reason. Jesus is the Word, and the Word is Jesus… everything in God’s written word is, in some shape or form, about Jesus. No matter how many tablet laptops, SmartBoards, satellite projects, robotics classes, bells and whistles and pizzazz we will have at MCS (and these are important things) the only thing that won’t pass away ultimately, is the Word of God. So our MCS Value #1? Live Biblical Truth! We want to hold onto and live out God’s Word in our lives. These are changing, and challenging times. We will continue to challenge our kids to hold onto and live out the Word of God in their lives. Let’s always remind each other to do the same.
