Overview of the Camp
Innovation Station is an exciting new camp being run by the Mount Olive School District for children entering third
through eighth grades It is intended to give students a high quality experience in the Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Math (STEM) areas. Your child will enjoy two classes per week that are hands-on and fun, as well as educational
field trips that allow them to explore, create, and experience STEM in new ways. !
Each day will begin at 9:30 when students arrive at Mount Olive Middle School and begin their morning workshop. After
2.5 hours of an exciting activity that caters to creativity and imagination from designing the craziest and most amazing
kites to using forensic science to solve a simulated crime in our Spy Class workshop.
Imagine Your Child....
!
•Launching rockets hundreds of feet into the open air! Your child will design
and create his/her own rocket that will soar high into the mighty sky!
•Programming a Humanoid Robot to play a game of catch, skateboard or just
fetch a drink! The options are limitless when you have a Robot to obey your
every command! •Skillfully flying a Drone through a camper created obstacle course! •Engaging in friendly competitions as campers compete to see who can fly their
Drone with the most precision or launch their rockets the highest.
•Surviving the unforgiving environment of the Northern NJ wilderness! During
day hikes, your child will learn important Native American survival skills such
as hunting, fishing, trapping and fire-making skills!
