While many wellknown and beloved games are holding tryouts and recruiting, there are several new teams starting up and looking for students ready to bring their best game to the field. Tryouts will begin sometime in late April and all students are invited whether they know the game or not, as this is designed to be a fun and relaxed competition for students. Denis Morris is also excited to be teaming up with local horse stables to form the first DM polo team! This sport requires students to have some horseback riding experience and a love for the game, as well as a registration fee and parental permission. Once the team and schedule are set, the horses will be transported to DM’s field every Friday, weather permitting. Listen to the announcements for more information. Cassandra Jesik, Staff If the arduous routines and rainy weather are draining your spirits, prepare for a splash of colour. On Friday, May 24th Dallas Green of City and Colour will be performing at Denis Morris Catholic High School in a generous effort to raise funds for school music programs. As a former music student and alumni of Denis Morris, Green has accomplished many creative feats, including the 2012 Juno Award for best songwriter. This success has Writer inspired him to return to his roots and give young musicians the means to follow their dreams. Hailing from St. Catharines, Green’s global achievements in both City and Colour and Alexisonfire encourage local teens to believe that they have a chance to break through the music scene, even growing up surrounded by the commercial barriers of a small city. This once in a lifetime opportunity will be held in the school gymnasium and will be an exclusive Redmen event. As space is limited, the public will only be able to purchase tickets through Denis Morris staff and students. He declined all of the university offers that he has received and will continue working at McDonald’s for the rest of his life. Isabella has decided to stop attending school, and has opted for the online course program. She still won’t get much done as she will be updating her blog and watching movies constantly. Cassie will move to the Yukon in July. With another allergy season approaching, she has decided to beat the ragweed for good. Even though she will miss her friends, she is looking forward to seeing some polar bear action. Nickie Morris Arianna has decided to drop out of high school to follow her dreams and become an acrobat. She plans to join the next passing circus. Lucas is a very patient person that is not humourous and does not like sarcasm. He dislikes music, food, and video games. In the future he wants to to be an author. Nickie ran away with her high school sweetheart and hasn’t been seen since. Ariana Pero Unfortunately Ariana broke her fingernail and is not able to graduate this year.
