a three-level boutique at 412 West 14th Street that will
combine an art gallery, café, apparel shop and, yes, a small
auto showroom. The Kooples will take its second store in
the city at 401 West 14th Street. SoulCycle’s latest gym will
be at 12 West 27th Street.
In Union Square, MAC Cosmetics will open at 853
Broadway.
In Greenwich Village, Sisley Paris reportedly is adding
to the beauty selections on Bleecker Street, taking 343.
Exile Professional Gym, which bills itself as the first studio
for “Street Dance,” has opened at 27 Second Avenue. Fly
London reportedly has leased Kurt Geiger’s store at 375
Bleecker Street. Luxury outlet store Gabay’s Outlet has
relocated to 195 Avenue A. St. Mark’s Bookshop is moving
to a city-owned property at 136 East Third Street. The
Organic Pharmacy crosses the pond from London to 353
Bleecker Street, its first store on the East Coast. The shop
will offer treatments and consultations as well as product.
In Nolita/Tribeca/LES, San Francisco-based (and Irishborn) Margaret O’Leary’s lovely knits have arrived on the
East Coast at 279 Mott Street. Toms Shoes, which donates
a pair of shoes to a needy child for every one it sells, has
taken its first store in the city at 264 Elizabeth Street.
Freida Rothman expands from Brooklyn to 248 Mott Street.
Chinese company Spin Ceramics has opened its first U.S.
shop at 13 Crosby Street. Jewelry shop Broken English
comes east from Los Angeles to 56 Crosby.
Sabit NYC’s Japanese streetwear is at 43 Clinton Street.
Buddy Warren has launched a home décor shop (and
coffee shop) at 171 Chrystie Street. Coming Soon features
hip and unusual décor items at 37 Orchard Street.
Children’s shop Egg by Susan Lazar has come to 104
Franklin Street. Accessories company Billykirk signed
for 16 Orchard Street. Josie Natori opened her first New
York City store at 253 Elizabeth Street. Teich Toys & Books
has debuted at 573 Hudson Street. Dita, an eyewear brand
out of Los Angeles, will launch a New York flagship at 273
Lafayette Street. Look for vintage at the new Georgia NYC,
27 Orchard Street. Dear Rivington, a designer fashion
boutique, is relocating to 37 Great Jones Street in Noho.
In Soho, Céline debuted at 67 Wooster Street, while
Band of Outsiders bowed at 70 Wooster. MCM will open a
flagship at 100 Greene Street this fall. Feit, the Australian
shoe designer that makes shoes for men and women by
hand, is coming to the United States at 2-6 Prince Street.
Intimates, sportswear and handbag designer Ramy Brook
is to launch its first retail store at 22 Prince Street in
late September. Rebecca Minkoff will finally reveal her
96 Greene Street store this fall. bareMinerals’ new concept
shop, bareMinerals Shade Shop, has come to 118 Prince
Street. International Playground’s second city location
bowed at 463 Broome Street. Fendi is popping up for six
months at 122 Greene Street. Dash is returning to Soho at
Spring and Lafayette Streets. Brandy Melville has moved
down the street to 499 Broadway, to a space nearly twice
its former size. Maud Frizon, the French luxury shoe brand,
is back in U.S. retail at 422 West Broadway. Trademark,
from Pookie and Louisa Burch (daughters of C. Wonder’s

creative director Reed Krakoff’s second store in the city

In FiDi, Equinox’s more affordable division Blink Fitness
has leased space at 113 Nassau Street. J&R Records
will bow J&R Express, an in-store shop at Century 21
(22 Cortlandt Street). Vince is taking space at Brookfield
Place, and Saks Off 5th likely will occupy Brooks Brothers’
longtime perch at 1 Liberty Street (also owned by
Brookfield Office Properties) when that lease expires
late next year.

Bedford Avenue. J. Crew has opened its first location
in Williamsburg, at 234 Wythe Avenue. Swiss brand
What?Watch’s first U.S. store will be at 106 North Sixth

retail store at 117 Adams Street in the Dumbo Heights tech
complex, where it has office space. JCPenney has taken its
first location in the borough at 501 Gateway Drive.
