June 14 2011 Meeting Minutes
7:00p.m.
President Richard Buck called the meeting to order and all joined in with the Pledge of
Allegiance. Roll Call was taken and all were present.
Jeff Bernath made the motion to accept the agenda for June 14th 2011. Motion supported
by Angelica Barnes. Ayes: 6, Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
Ronnie Winchell made the motion to approve the meeting minutes of May 10th 2011 and
the Special Meeting Minutes of June 1 2011. Supported by Jeff Bernath. Ayes: 6, Nayes:
0. Motion passed
Terry Esterline made the motion to change Mike Ames pay per hour from $8.25 to $8.75.
Supported by Ronnie Winchell. Ayes: Terry Esterline, Ronnie Winchell, Angelica
Barnes, Sarah Mercer and Richard Buck. Nays: Jeff Bernath. Motion passed.
In maintenance report Mike Ames reported he was in need of 2 new tires for Village
truck received estimate from Reggies for $358.00.
Ronnie Winchell made the motion to get 2 new tires for the Village track from Reggies
for the amount of $358.00. Supported by Terry Esterline. Ayes: 6, Nayes: 0. Motion
passed.
President Richard Buck spoke on receiving quotes from other insurance groups for the
Village. As of June 14th 2011 we received 1 quote and were waiting oh a local Insurance
company's quote. President Richard Buck set Tuesday June 21st 2011 at 7:00 p.m. for
special meeting for additional quotes.
President Richard Buck read a letter from the Waldron Labor Day Committee on the
events schedule and street closures for the upcoming Labor Day.
Terry Esterline made the motion to give a 1-time donation for the benefit of the
Community for $350.00 towards Labor Day expenses. Supported by Jeff Bernath. Ayes:
6, Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
Terry Esterline made the motion that if there is a pre-approval on expenditures not to
exceed dollar amount stated bills could be paid within 5 days of completion. Supported
by Ronnie Winchell. Ayes: 6, Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
Terry Esterline made the motion to pay bill excluding International League of Cities,
MCM (Current Insurance Company) and Quote from Gale Shadbolt. Supported by
Ronnie Winchell. Ayes: 6, Nays: 0. Motion passed.
Terry Esterline made the motion to keep current mileage at 10.9812. Supported by Jeff
Bernath. Roll call was taken Ayes: Terry Esterline, Jeff Bernath, Ronnie Winchell,
Angelica Barnes, Sarah Mercer, Richard Buck. Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
President Richard Buck read the resignation letter of Marilyn Winchell to take effect as
of July 17th 2011.
Terry Esterline made the motion to accept and declare clerk position vacant. Supported
by Jeff Berntah. Roll call was taken Ayes: Terry Esterline, Jeff Bernath, Ronnie
Winchell, Angelica Barnes, Sarah Mercer and Richard Buck. Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
President Richard Buck read his resignation letter to council on his trustee position.
Jeff Bernath made the motion to accept and declare Richard Bucks seat vacant. Supported
by Angelica Barnes. Roll call was taken. Ayes: Terry Esterline, Jeff Bernath, Ronnie
Winchell, Angelica Barnes, Sarah Mercer and Richard Buck. Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
President Richard Buck nominated Beth Town to be appointed as clerk.
Terry Esterline made the motion to nominate Beth Town in term as Village Clerk.
Supported by Angelica Barnes. Roll call was taken. Ayes: Terry Esterline, Ronnie
Winchell, Angelica Barnes, Sarah Mercer and Richard Buck. Nays: Jeff Bernath. Motion
passed.
Terry Esterline made the motion to accept the bid of Chestney for the drain on Mill Street
at the amount of $1,983.00. Supported by Ronnie Winchell. Ayes: 6, Nayes: 0. Motion
passed.
Terry Esterline made the motion to purchase an oxygen sensor not to exceed $600.00.
Supported by Jeff Bernath. Ayes: 6, Nayes: 0. Motion passed.
Angelica Barnes made the motion to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. until July 12* 2011 at 7:00
p.m.
