November - The Stitchers` Village
The The Official Digital News Magazine of The Stitchers’ Village Stitchers’ Voice VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 12 NOVEMBER 2010 Info on the TSV Christmas Ornament Issue Christmas Ornament TSV Member Stitch-a-long New Additions to The TSV Stores All Needlecrafts Homestead Needle Arts Crossed Threads www.stitchersvillage.com We have had beautiful Fall weather here in Kansas. I do not know where the time gets away to, but we are moving in to the holiday season. The link to the ornament issue is being fine-tuned. It will be available Wednesday, Nov. 3. I hope you enjoyed the Halloween stitch along and the fun design “Witch Parking Only” from Glendon Place as well as the chat with Cheryl Granda, the designer. The Tea Shoppe Forum and the chat are now linked together in the new social area of The Stitchers’ Village. I regret that this does require a new sign in registration to use these functions, but I believe you will all find this to be much more interactive and will allow members to connect. This does not replace the home site. This is strictly the social area of The Stitchers’ Village. The home site will continue to host the shops, classes, the library, and all the excellent resources. This is the heart of the Village and we want to keep this strong as we add the social modules to enhance it. “Witch Parking Only” Is still available with purchase from your TSV shops Designer, Cheryl Granda, so very generously designed this exclusively for the members of The Stitchers’ Village. She also hosted a chat on Saturday, Oct. 30 to discuss her designs and the stitch along. We wish to thank her for her generosity and participation on The Stitchers’ Village!! The link to the file will be in the newspaper office on the bulletin board. As of the publish time of this edition, the link was still being fine tuned. Members of The Stitchers’ Village can now become much more social with their fellow Villagers! When you click on the Tea Shoppe link, you will now be taken to the social side of the Village. This module has been in the testing process for the past couple of weeks and was used this past weekend for the Halloween stitch along chat with Cheryl Granda from Glendon Place. You will need to sign in with the email you used when you registered on The Stitchers’ Village and the password will be the city listed on your registration form. We hope that you will take time to thank the generous designers who contributed the beautiful ornament designs and hopefully, they will visit us in the Village soon! Ornament Stitch Along Let’s plan the month of November to be an ornament stitch along for TSV members. Through the month, post your starts, finishes, and progress of any ornaments you wish to stitch in the “Forum” on the new social area of the site. Check the “Events” for times and dates of chats. Go to the Tea Shoppe and click through!! This new platform will allow members to have their very own “page” which can be personalized. It allows for photos to be shared and discussions and chats to be held. Members can now discuss favorite projects and share latest finishes. There will be events and “get-togethers”. This by no means takes the place of the home site!! The shops, school, and all the other features of the site will be available and continue to provide the same services as they have. This is merely an enhancement so that the Village can reach a new level of interaction!! For the next week or so, members can register and sign in without going through a validation process. After that, a validation will be put into effect to prevent the spammers from posting. We are off to a great start with 241 members as of this morning. Sign in now by clicking on the link in the Tea Shoppe!
