His process for making the highest quality putters revolutionized the industry and his ability to customize them has made him an icon. Most putters begin life as melted steel poured into a mold. Scotty Cameron putters are milled (or carved) from a solid block of metal making for a more consistent product. According to the inaugural 2011 Darrell Survey, Scotty Cameron putters are used by more PGA Tour players than any other manufacturer. Golfers such as Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, and newcomer Rickie Fowler all put their trust in the quality products Scotty Cameron produces. Even golfers under contract with other companies use Scotty Cameron putters. They are already responsible for four worldwide wins in the early stages of the 2011 golf season, and that number is sure to grow. Scotty has been producing quality putters for 20 years and there are models to fit players of all handicap ranges. The custom options seen in PGA Tour player’s bags are available to us. We can completely change the look of your Scotty Cameron putter to fit your personality, favorite sports team or even highlight your nickname. If you are in the market for a unique personalized gift, a customized Scotty Cameron putter is an idea any serious golfer will love! Below is an example of tour player Rickie Fowler’s custom putter, and as you can see, we can design a putter to fit anything your imagination can come up with… Over the last couple of months we have acquired several new Scotty Cameron items. We now have putter covers commemorating all four of the 2010 major championships. We also have some distinctive apparel from the PGA Tour’s opening swing through Hawaii. From designer polo’s and graphic tees to fantastic accessories, our Cameron Corner has everything the Scotty Cameron Putter enthusiast could ever need. So next time you are in the golf shop, stop by and see the new putter covers or the customized putters that we have available, and remember there is no better gift for the true golfer than a Scotty Cameron putter! 7 Turf Care Corner Hello from the maintenance team, we hope you are all enjoying and surviving this winter. Spring is on the brink and patches of warm dry weather in between snow storms are a good time to prepare for the change in seasons. When the weather is dry and all the snow has melted from the landscape it is a good time to do a little helpful clean-up before the big spring snows. One suggestion is to rake up the turf that has been compacted, this is long turf that has been matted down and has a touch of snow mold. If left unattended it can severely damage the turf which means a late green up in the spring. If you just give it an aggressive rake with a garden leaf rake you will breakup the fungus, create air flow and save yourself some headaches later. This can also be done with your low growing shrubs and any piles of organic matter that have collected with the wind and snowdrifts. Rake up all the organic matter dispose of it and fluff up the shrubs from the ground, pulling them off the ground and creating air flow. This is also a good time to get some water to the basins of your trees to make sure they are well hydrated and ready for spring bud break. Our last suggestion for spring prep is to get another bait application out for those pesky rodents. The voles, mice, rabbits and gophers will be out collecting food in preparation and storage for the heavy and wet snow cover of the big spring snows, this is a good time to put out the Juicy Fruit gum or any other bait in their holes and tunnels. They will store the bait and feed off it when the snow cover is too heavy to find food, die in their burrow and hopefully not be so pesky next year. Remember winter is not over March is our snowiest month so get up and enjoy the spring skiing and riding, and we will see you in the spring green-up. H.
