Chicopee Electric Light Customer Newsletter Congratulations to the 2016 TechnoFair finalists More than 600 Chicopee students from across the city took part in this year’s TechnoFair, an annual program sponsored by CEL to encourage science learning. Produced in partnership with Chicopee Chicopee’s 2016 Citywide TechnoFair event included 35 Public Schools, TechnoFair begins when finalists representing four local schools. seventh-graders at all four local schools prepare technology- and science-related projects for individual school fairs. School finalists then compete at the Citywide TechnoFair event. This year, 35 finalists took part in the Citywide event, held June 7 at Chicopee Comprehensive High School. Each finalist received a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card, a medallion, and a TechnoFair T-shirt. All five top finishers also received special certificates, while the top three earned $100 Barnes & Noble gift cards. Virginia Harackiewicz Spring raffle winner CEL staff made and raffled off a gardening basket this spring to benefit our Chicopee Community Caring Fund. The fund aids local residents who cannot meet their monthly electric expenses due to financial difficulty. Each customer who visited our lobby and donated $1 to the fund got a chance to win the basket. Congratulations to Virginia Harackiewicz, the lucky winner!
