He is a graduate of University Medical School and a Clinical Associate Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Cortina will present a brief overview of the Virginia Veteran-­‐Community Partnership. Jeffrey Pearson is the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VA Medical Center. His focus is on educating veterans and their families concerning Veterans Health Care Benefits. Jeffrey served in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for 20 years, retiring in October 2011, and is currently pursuing a dual Master’s Degree in Health Care and Business Administration. He will present on eligibility criteria for Veterans Services. Susan Perry is the Outreach Director for Altmeyer Funeral Homes. She is a certified Life Celebrant, officiating funeral services tailored to individuals and their beliefs. Susan is dedicated to providing excellent service to our community, her clients and their families. Her father and grandfather are both military veterans. Susan will present on Veterans Funeral Benefits and Veterans Honor Ceremonies. Mark Pascucci is an Estate Planner and Elder Law Attorney at Wolcott Rivers Gates. His practice concentrates on estate planning and administration, family business succession, corporate transactions and elder law. Prior to earning his law degree at William & Mary, Mark practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in Boston. He will be presenting on the 10 Estate Planning Commandments and will include information about the Veterans Aid & Attendance Benefit. Mary Mondelli is a Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner with First Command Financial Services. She joined First Command 2009, following 12 years of active duty service in the United States Navy. A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Master of Arts degree in Education, Mary holds Series 6, 63 and 65 securities licenses plus state life and health insurance licenses in Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and California. Mary will be presenting on the Military Thrift Savings Plan. Jamar Blyther is a Readjustment Counseling Tech for the Department of Veteran Affairs. While in the service, he was an Army Combat Veteran stationed at Fort Story and deployed into Kuwait/Iraq in 2003. After serving in the military, Jamar was an admissions representative for a number of colleges and is currently pursuing an MBA Degree. Jamar will be presenting Benefits for Veterans, including compensation for those with a disability. Donna Marchant-­‐Roof is the Service Line Administrator of Senior Services at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work, is a licensed counselor, and has been with Chesapeake Regional for 15 years working in Home Care and Hospice. Donna will be presenting on Advance Care Planning.
