Auction Information And Rules
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on items once purchased unless otherwise specified. Auction
items are not redeemable for cash.
PAYMENT
Payment by the successful auction bidder MUST be made at the time designated for Auction checkout (60 minutes after
the Auction closes). If the winning bidder leaves before the Auction checkout, he or she will be contacted the week
after the ball to arrange for payment and pick up of the item. Cash, check, American Express, MasterCard or Visa are
acceptable forms of payment.
AIRLINE/TRIPS
Reservations for airfare, auto rentals, hotel rooms, entertainment and services may be subject to availability and must be
mutually arranged with donor unless otherwise specified. Holiday blackout periods may apply.
ITEM EXPIRATION
Please note any special restrictions on gift certificates.
TAX, GRATUITIES, ALCOHOL
Tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included in entertainment and dining packages unless otherwise specified.
MINIMUM BIDS
Houston Symphony reserves the right to remove any item from the auction without notice and change minimum bids as
necessary.
EVERYTHING IS “AS IS”
All auction items are offered on an “as is” basis. All descriptions of auction items are for the sole purpose of identifying
the items, and seller disclaims any express or implied warranties. A minimum bid or minimum increase is required. Bids
below these minimums will be disqualified.
AUCTION
The auction opens for bidding at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, and will close at 11:00 p.m. Announcements
of the closing time will be made during the evening. At closing, the final bid listed in the iPad Touch System shall
constitute the winning bid.
DISPUTES
In the event of a dispute, a Houston Symphony official will determine the winning bidder. The decision will be final.
