Sharon Boner
Sharon Boner is responsible for leading the human resources department and has over 15
years of experience in the human resources profession.
Currently in the role of Director of Human Resources, Sharon is responsible for aligning the
human resources strategy with overall company business plan. In addition, Sharon creates a
strategy to attract, develop and retain talent and improve process and systems to enhance
existing operations and facilitate Habitat's growth. Sharon also ensures compensation and
benefits programs provide motivations, incentives and rewards to drive performance.

Prior to joining the Habitat Company, she was the Vice President of Human Resources for
Waterton Residential from 2007-2013. From 2002-2007,she worked at Whole Foods Market as a
human resources regional manager, where she supported the Midwest region overseeing 29
field human resource specialists and managing several new store openings. Preceding this,
Sharon worked for Keane Consulting Group, a subsidiary of Keane Inc., where she was
responsible for managing the human resource functions for both the Chicago and Boston
offices.
Sharon obtained her Masters of Public Administration from University of Illinois at Chicago and
her Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Indiana University. Sharon has her Senior
Professional in Human Resources (SHPR) Certification and is a member of the Society of Human
Resources Management and National Multi-Family Housing Commission (NMHC) HR Forum.
She is also a mentor in the Big Brother Big Sister Program.
