Born in Littleton, Colorado
Founder and CEO, Julie Ekstrom, created Kanga Care’s very first cloth diaper, the Rumparooz, when her
daughter was born with a highly sensitive skin condition and she could not wear disposable diapers. She
created the Rumparooz with a unique dual inner gusset system. This is the most effective leak
containment system the industry has seen to date.
In April of 2013 Kanga Care was granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the
design of and method of making the Dual Inner Gusset Diaper.
The Rumparooz was the first cloth diaper on the market to have the technology of a dual inner gusset
design. Julie’s invention quickly set the Kanga Care brand of cloth diapers apart from other brands. Kanga
Care quickly gained a pristine reputation for higly functional and leak proof diaper designs. The unique
dual inner gusset feature can be found in the Rumparooz, the Lil Joey and the EcoPosh cloth diapers.

We recommend 24 for beginning
cloth with a newborn. Otherwise,
please follow the diagram below:
