4th Africa HR Leaders Summit
Kwamina Amoasi-Andoh(Featured Speaker)
Mr Amoasi- Andoh is currently the National Programme Manager of the ILO SCORE
Project in Ghana. He is managing the Project in consultation with the ILO and the Swiss
Government, the Donor for the programme. ILO SCORE is a programme of the
International Labour Organization that supports small and medium sized enterprise to
grow and create more and better jobs by improving their competitiveness through
better quality, productivity and workplace practices.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Amoasi-Andoh led five top level consultants and
other external faculty experts in delivering consultancy services in management to
Government, ILO, the Private Sector and the Development Partners.
As CEO of JENAD Consult, Mr Amoasi succeeded in securing major consultancy
assignments from reputable institutions such as DANIDA, ILO, the private sector and the
Government of Ghana and led the firm to develop the Business Sector Advocacy
Programme document, with a budget of US$20Million, for DANIDA and other
Development Partners (DPs). He developed Local Economic Development Model
documents for Sierra Leone with the ILO and has reviewed extensively all the ILO
Programmes, projects and activities for the Abuja Area Office for the 2008-2009
biennium. He led the firm to design the FRUIT GHANA Project funded by Coca Cola
International with USAID being implemented by ACDI/VOCA.
Mr Amoasi-Andoh has held many top positions in several organizations including being
the Chief Executive Officer of Jenad Consult and Ghana Healthcare Company;
National Programme Co-ordinator of the ILO Ghana Decent Work Programme; and
Executive Director of Ghana Employers Association. He led the establishment of the
Health Insurance system in Ghana as the first CEO which has become the fastest
growing health insurance scheme in the world, now covering about 65% of the 22million
population of the country.
He holds an MBA (Finance Major) and BA (Econs with Statistics) from the University of
Ghana.
