Anywhere, in any vehicle, including the campground on a Golf Cart...in the State of Ohio OPERATING A VEHICLE UNDER THE INFLUENCE IS AGAINST THE LAW Ohio’s drinking and driving law, Operating Vehicle Under the Influence - OVI (Ohio Revised Code 4511.19) and Open Container Laws (ORC 4301.62 apply to ALL vehicles, including Golf Carts, at ALL times within the ENTIRE State of Ohio and will be enforced. Be sure to have a designated driver during your stay - even for your Golf Cart. GOLF CART RULES The Darke County Sheriff’s Office and Rossburg Volunteer Fire Department welcome you to Darke County. It is our sincere hope that you have a memorable time as you… EXPERIENCE ELDORA! For your convenience, please review these rules and regulations and share them with the rest of your party. We have also included some important State and Local laws for those of you attending from outside of the immediate region that may differ from those of your hometown. Your cooperation with Eldora Officials and local authorities is essential in ensuring your safety, the enjoyment of others and allowing a normal flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic throughout the event. PH: 937-338-6154 ELDORA SPEEDWAY OFFICE PH: 937-338-3815 13929 SR 118 | New Weston, OH 45348 www.EldoraSpeedway.com – All Golf Carts must be registered. – Permit must be properly displayed at all times on LEFT FRONT of Golf Cart. – Excessive speed will not be tolerated - Limit speed to walking speed. – No overloading of passengers. No hanging, No riding, No standing - the number of seats equal the maximum number of passenger(s). – No cruising or unnecessary driving. – Headlights or sufficient lighting required after dark. – Golf Carts may not be operated during Quiet Times (one hour after race until 6:30 a.m.) – No driving on, or crossing of, State Route 118 or North Star-Ft. Loramie Rd. – this includes the shoulders and right-of-ways. – Park in designated areas only. – Valid driver license required for operation. – Violation of regulations will result in revocation of privileges and may result in cart being impounded. – Traditional stock-appearing Golf Carts only. No ATVs, Bar Stools, Coolers, Dirt Bikes, Mopeds, Scooters, Side x Sides, Tractors, Utility ATVs, or similar etc., permitted. CRUISING & RIDERS – Golf Carts and Vehicles “cruising” or “joy-riding” will be asked to return to their campsites. – Passengers in open truck beds are prohibited and will be asked to stop and walk. – All driveways are considered “FIRE LANES.” BURN ADVISORY – The drought and dry weather has put the region under a BURN ADVISORY since July. Please check with your Camping Hosts and look for the signs at each campground driveway. If the red signs are posted, campfires are not permitted at that time. GENERATORS & CARBON MONOXIDE – Generators are permitted, however, “Courtesy/Quiet Time” is 1:30 a.m. until 6:30 a.m. – Please be aware of all Carbon Monoxide dangers that can be harmful to you and other guests. Vehicle and Generator exhaust should be expelled safely into the roadway or vented upward and away and not into adjacent campsites. ELDORA SPEEDWAY CAMPGROUND RULES: INCLUDES LOTS #1 THRU 5, MAIN & SOUTH LOTS, ELDORA VILLAGE AND NORTHSIDE CAMP & PARK – Camping spaces are sold for the intent of camper parking. Each space must be occupied by a recreational vehicle (or tent where permitted). Spaces may not be sub-let, re-sold or used for marketing and/or vending purposes. – Camping is permitted in designated campground spaces only. Vehicle and camping equipment must not extend beyond assigned space. – No overnight camping is permitted in open parking areas. – Respect other camper’s privacy – do not walk through other campsites. – All lots are “dry camping” (water and electric hookups are not available). There are showers available and Porta Kleen is also available to pump black and grey water tanks and provide fresh water service. – Porta Kleen will also rent private toilet units which should be arranged in advance. Please call 1-800-972-3800 or (740) 689-1886. – Fireworks are prohibited and users are punishable by all Federal and State laws. – All pets must be registered with campground & are to be leashed and under your control at all times - Please clean up after pets. – Trash is to be bagged daily and placed in front of your space for pick up - Please don’t place bags in barrels. Space is to be cleaned upon departure, and all trash bagged. – The discharge of grey water in the environment has been found to be a significant risk to public health. Release of grey or black water is prohibited.
