This course explores the daily dietary, environmental, and stress factors
that cause toxicity in the body. Practical methods of cleansing and
detoxifying are discussed in the course; including colon hydrotherapy,
fasting, raw food diet, and juicing. Simple recipes for juicing, mild foods,
and raw food diets will be provided.

healing the mind, body, and spirit. Participants will explore herbal uses ranging from
teas and cooking, to healing cuts/wounds to treating hypertension, to spiritual
cleansing, and uplifting. Emphasis will be placed on herbs from Africa, but western
herbs from the USA and South America along with eastern herbs from India and
China will also be discussed. Additionally, the course will allow the student to learn
safe and practical uses of herbs to prevent disease and to treat common everyday
issues without resorting to over-the-counter drugs. Lastly, it will shed light on herbs
that have the ability to create emotional and spiritual balance.

This course is designed to develop the basic skills to communicate
with deaf and hearing impaired individuals using American Sign
Language. The course is a sur- vey of principles, methods, and
techniques of manual communication using American Sign
Language. The vocabulary, grammar, finger spelling, numbers,
and terminology will provide a framework for using basic sign
language.
