Community Annual Report - Pacific Continental Bank
COMMUNITY
ANNUAL REPORT 2015
Byron Garrow at the School Garden Project of Lane County.
COMMUNITY
COMES FIRST
At Pacific Continental Bank, we believe
supporting and preserving our local
communities is an integral part of being a
successful company —
 it’s at the forefront
of everything we do.
Every year our employees donate
thousands of volunteer hours and dollars
to our local communities. Our Giving with
Heart program encourages staff to get
involved in local organizations by providing
each employee up to 40 hours of paid time
off to volunteer. These accomplishments
are typically highlighted in our Annual
Giving Report.
This year, our report takes on a new
name — Community Annual Report —
expanding beyond our volunteering and
philanthropic giving to encompass our
overall commitment to communities
through the addition of our sustainability
practices and programs. Our commitment
to becoming a more sustainable business
highlights our long-term focus on helping
to preserve the communities where we
live and work for years to come.
In 2015, employees donated more than
7,300 hours to organizations focusing on
animal welfare, community arts, economic
development, education, family and
health, sustainability and youth services.
Employees also donated nearly $7,500
of their own money to their local
communities and Pacific Continental
matched contributions up to $100
per employee.
Fostering healthy and vibrant communities
is at the core of who we are and we hope
you enjoy reading our new Community
Annual Report.

right work/life balance and the ability to volunteer with so many wonderful
nonprofits in my community.

All outdated electronics — including
computers, printers and phones —
are donated to local electronics reuse and recycling centers.
•
Our sustainability program is still in its
early days and will continue to grow
over the years. We have added
