summary
This year's initiative invites us to reflect upon our ambitions, dreams and visions - for
our own lives and the world as a whole. Interactive talks and workshops will help us
to define our personal vision and learn practical steps to reach our goals.
Many distinguished speakers and workshop leaders will facilitate the camp, amongst
them:
Julia Bonk, previously the youngest politician of Germany and member of parliament
of Saxony, Germany
Laura Schneider, actress and singer, Germany
Jani Toivola, member of parliament, Finland
Kirty Matabadal, UN-Ambassador for youth, the Netherlands
Kirsi Ranto, singer and songwriter, Finland
Br. Shubamrita, monk and meditation teacher
Bri. Dipamrita, leader of the NGO "embracing the world - France"
A diverse range of workshops will be offered, giving you a chance to express your
talents and tap into your power of imagination: Harp-playing, Horseriding, Dance,
Music & Singing, Art-work, Building a Stone-Labyrinth, Building a Barefoot-Path for
Children, Healthy Nutrition, Conscious Living, Tai Chi, Storytelling and Improv-Theatre.
During the camp, you also have the chance to be trained as an "InDeed" coach for
sustainability, which will enable you to visit schools in your home country and teach
children how to save water, protect biodiversity and grow healthy, organic food.
If you take part in this activity, even when you are back home, you will receive
the "youth pass" - a certificate by the European Union that certifies non-formal
learning in the youth field. The "youth pass" is recognized across Europe and can be
used in your CV and professional career.
In addition, there will be a video-art contest, music-video-shoot, creative artjamming, singing, sports, games, and a big summer festival to conclude the week.
The initiative is co-funded by the "Youth in Action" programme of the European
Commission for Education and Culture, which allows us to refund 70% of the travel
cost for a limited number of youth coming from: Spain, France, Italy, Portugal,
Ireland, UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Slovenia, Switzerland, Austria and
Denmark. Of course, youth from other countries are welcome as well, however, they
need to cover their own travel cost.
If you register before July 1st the participation fee for the whole week is only 100 Euro
(afterwards 120 Euro). Youth who have difficulties paying the fee should please
contact their Country Youth Leader.
Youth who still have school during the time of the camp can obtain a letter from us
that certifies our initiative as a non-formal learning programme of the European
Commission for Education and Culture. With this letter you can ask permission of the
school to take leave for the duration of the camp.
The camp is open to youth between the ages of 15 and 30.
who stands behind the initiative?
“our world. our vision. our future.” is organized by youth for youth. A team of AYUDH
members from all over Europe has been working together since many months to
prepare and create an exciting, enriching and entertaining programme that allows
you to get engaged and involved, contribute with your talents, ideas, creativity and
enthusiasm to this project.

M.A. Center Germany – Seminarzentrum Hof Herrenberg e.V. is a non-profit
Organization and the legal host and venue of the programme. (www.hofherrenberg.de)
The initiative is co-sponsored by the “Youth in Action” programme of the European
Commission for Education and Culture. (http://ec.europa.eu/youth/index_en.htm)
what is a youth initiative?
The characteristics of a youth initiative are that the youth design a project that
directly benefits society and that the participants will be very actively involved in all
phases of the project – planning, preparation, implementation and spreading of
results.
Therefore, to participate in this initiative does not only mean to come for one week of
fun and entertainment to M.A. Center Germany, but to become part of an
international working group that thinks, plans and acts together even before and
after the camp to create a long-lasting impact in society.
InDeed campaign for nature
One way how we wish to contribute to society this year is through the InDeed
campaign for nature:
In a special workshop during the camp, one or more youth from each country will be
trained as InDeed trainers for children in your
home country. The workshop group will learn how
to teach children how to save water, protect
biodiversity and grow their own healthy, organic
food. But because it is boring to visit the schools
alone, the participants of the InDeed workshop need the help of all other Ayudh
members from their countries to plan and carry out this project together. Therefore
there will be a special time during the week when you can all sit together and talk
about how you could implement this project into schools in your home country. This
can be a great follow-up project of the Ayudh week, an opportunity to meet the
Ayudh members from your country again and pass on the vision of a more
sustainable and green world to the next generation.
InDeed is an environmental campaign by Embracing the World ®.

youthpass
If you visit the camp and also take an active role in organizing
and carrying out the InDeed training for school children in
your home country, you can receive the “youthpass” – a
certificate by the European Union that certifies non-formal
learning in the youth field. The "youthpass" is recognized
across Europe and can be used in your CV and professional
career.
Even if you will not take part in the InDeed workshop during
the camp, but simply support the other youth from your
country in carrying out the follow-up project back home, you
can receive this certificate.

boosting our creativity
Every year, the EU publishes certain “priorities”, which they want us to deal with
during our youth initiative. One of the priorities suggested in 2013 is “projects
stimulating young people’s spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship.” So
when we read this, we thought to ourselves – ‘yep – this is what we like to do…’ and
therefore we based the idea of this year’s initiative mainly on: creativity as a tool to
find and express our vision in life! Many creative workshops like harpplaying, impro
dance, singing, storytelling, the art-jamming and video contest should help us to tap
into our power of imagination, to find and express our vision to the world.
art-jamming
Throughout the camp there will be a “art-space” – a place where we provide colors,
pens and paper to do art-jamming. Right from the moment you arrive we encourage
you to use your free time in this creative space. A professional artist will be there to
support and encourage you – but at the same time give you the space you need for
your inspiration to flow.
from your vision to our vision
Upon your arrival we would like you to paint or draw your personal vision of the
future on a world-map that is provided by us. In one written line you can explain
what your design is all about. Through an exhibition at the camp we will show and
exchange our world-maps and thereby stimulate a thinking process in each other. At
the end of the week we will then get together to paint one huge world map,
displaying the power of our collective vision for a brighter and more colorful world. A
world colored with love!
festival of colors
colors symbolize diversity, joy and creativity. Therefore we
want to play one of the most fun games of all – the
festival of colors. Similar to the “Holi” festival in India,
we will be splashing and spraying colors at each other
– not just for fun, but also for a purpose: captured by
our film-crew, the festival of colors will become part
of a new music video for the ayudh song “color the
world with love”.
For this purpose, we ask all of you to
bring one set of clothes, which you
don't need anymore – after the color
festival, they will never look quite the
same  Ideally, these clothes should
be white – just because you will shine much more brightly in it.
colored hearts
At the “art space” you can also paint and create hearts in many different colors and
shapes, which will also be used during the music video shooting.
draw your vision – ayudh video
contest
This year we will conduct the first ayudh video contest.
Everyone of you is invited to share your vision of the world
with the rest of the planet. Use the “draw your vision”technique to capture a short video-clip and upload it to our
youtube channel
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5mer1aqlAuz5p5UAcMlF-g
The most creative and innovative video-clips will be shown at the youth camp, and
the absolute winner will be awarded with a Panasonic Lumix
DMC-FZ38 photo and video-camera. So just pick up
your pen, draw your vision and walk away with this
amazing gift!

our world. our vision. our future through the eyes of:
Like every year we are fortunate to welcome a diverse range of renowned speakers at
the camp. Whether from the fields of art, politics or spirituality – each speaker will
share with us his/her vision of life and how they were able to achieve success.
On top of that, each morning some AYUDH members will share a brief summary of
their own vision with all of us – in this way we can inspire and encourage each other to
follow our dreams and ambitions.

workshops
The workshops will give you an opportunity to go deeper into the topic of the week
“our world. our vision. our future.” According to your talents, skills and interests, you
can attend one workshop for the duration of the full week.
This year we chose not to make a big public performance at the end of the week, like
we did the last two years. The reason is that we want to give everyone the chance to
focus more on a personal process, go deeper into each workshop topic, rather than
exclusively working towards a show for a public audience. Of course, at the end of the
week we will have a summer festival during which we will present to each other what
we have learned in our workshops, but it will be in a much more informal and relaxed
way.
1. color your world with healing harp
Summary: In this workshop, participants will learn how to
create healing music on the harp to bring the vision of
healing through sound by the youth of the world. The
small harp is one of the easiest instruments to learn and
in just three days, you will have songs of Nature and
Healing, Love and Beauty, Stillness and Tranquility,
Hope and Inspiration and Strength and Courage to
share intergenerationally at a local care home for
elderly people.
Requirements for participants: love of music.
Workshop leaders:
Christina Tourin (USA) is a second generation harpist having
taught music in both public schools and Steiner Schools. She
is the Founder of the Int'l Harp Therapy Program and the
Rainbow of Sound Harp Circles - see PLAYHARP.com
"I believe the amazing benefits that research has discovered with the creative process of making music on the
well-being of humans and animals lies in the hands and
hearts of our youth and that they will carry forth this
powerful and delightful art of music-making."
Daniela Fiegert (Germany) has been playing the harp for more
than 20 years. She received her degree in Music Education and
Psychology from the University of Munich in 2008 and is currently graduating from the International Harp Therapy Program
under the guidance of Christina Tourin.
2. sing your vision!
Summary: Singing is a powerful tool for self-knowledge and serving the world with joy,
devotion and love. In our singing workshop we are not just learning new, wonderful
songs but also concentrating on finding ways to recognize
our
own
voice and how to use it for strengthening ourselves.
During our week we:
o
o
o
Make our own dream map of singing
Speak about how singing reflects our inner emotions and connection to our heart and to the world
Enjoy learning new songs and singing together
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leaders:
I am Kirsi Ranto (Deepthi), a singer-songwriter and recording
artist from Finland. I’ve studied music since I was eight years
old, giving concerts since I was 15, and won a national
singing
contest
at
the
age
of
19.
Since then music has been my main profession and passion. I’ve recorded six albums, and giving concerts all
around Finland and some abroad as well during past 20
years.
Bruno Steffen: I was born 1955 in Zurich, Switzerland.
I graduated in Chemistry (1977) as well as in Music, Jazzpiano
(1984).
One of my main jobs (besides playing gigs) is teaching Jazzpiano and Harmony at the Conservatory of Zurich (MKZ), as well
as composing music for films and slideshows.
I have been giving music classes for AYUDH for many years.
3. horse awareness: your vision – your future!
Summary: Horses are always in the present moment, authentic, and free of any expectations. They reflect our feelings and reveal our masks.
They help us to find our inner vision and our goal in life.
You will learn in the course:
Body scan – use the information of your body to understand your true self.
Respecting boarders – in relationship to other beings – here especially the
horses.
Understand your emotions and their meaning for your life.
Discover your inner goal and find out, how you can implement it into your life.
Requirements for participants: openness
Workshop leader: Heike Neder (Germany): When I was 8 I
started horseriding. With 13 I got my first horse. I started to
ride in competitions jumping as well as dressage. But I
also saw, how badly humans where treating horses, that’s
why I stopped riding. The love for horses remained. Years
later M.A. Center Germany happened to have horses
(guess why?...) Specially my horse Baba Joe has taught
me a lot about how to handle my emotions and he helped
me to find my vision. I have been trained by Hanna Engström and Bent Branderup. At present I am undergoing a
training based on the knowledge of Linda Kohanov and her
bestseller “Tao of the equus”.
4. shape your vision! - art and sculpturing
Summary: Open Space: The workshop will start with a
“warming up” exercise to give you the opportunity to feel
about yourSelf and your creative energy concerning “Our
World, Vision and Future”.
After that it will offer a variety of material for sculpturing
inside and outside objects.
Examples for projects and techniques will be shown, bigger objects can be made of concrete and mosaic, smaller
objects can be made of stone and wood carving, or in clay or
gypsum. The objects can be colored.
Feel free to use your favorite medium and to choose whether
you cooperate in a partner/ group project or dive into your own
personal process.
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leader: Anne Engler (Germany): I learned stone-carving
and clay-work as a craft, then I studied art-therapy.
My current work is to teach art-therapy in university and to visit
clients in the field of gerontopsychiatry, neurorehabilitation and
palliative care. In addition I enjoy being creative with children and
young people, who grew up under difficult circumstances.
5. conscious living - open your vision!
Summary:
Turn inside: Youth IAM meditation (day 1 & 2): We will dive into the Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique for youth. It consists of simple
yoga, breathing and visualization exercise. The first day of the workshop we’ll explain the yoga exercises and the second day the actual
meditation. It will give us the opportunity to connect daily to our
deepest source, our true self. When done with care and regularly, it
results in more self confidence and peace of mind.
Open your heart: chanting with devotion (day 3): Since thousands of years the
rhythmic chanting of the Sanskrit language has been used to invoke peace and harmony in the individual and the environment.
We will learn and practice the chant of the 108 Names and their meaning.
Balancing body and mind: yoga meets acrobatics (day 4): We will
start with classical yoga exercises including sun-salutations to
warm up and energize the body and mind. We will also explore
doing yoga exercises in a circle learning how valuable it is to support each other and so get ready to practice the basics of yogic
flying where the base supports and balances the flyer on his or
her feet.
By working in small groups of 3-5 we will learn about the dynamics of
teamwork in a playful way.
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leaders:
Day 1 & 2: An De Ceulaer (Belgium): After practicing the Integrated
Amrita Meditation technique for 7 years, I followed an instructor’s
course in 2010 for youth between the age of 15 and 25. Since then, I
had the opportunity to assist and teach the meditation technique at
various occasions. Since I really love this meditation technique, it is a
great honor to be able to spread it especially to young people.
Day 3: Bri. Dipamrita (France): Has been a spiritual disciple of Amma
for more than 20 years. She leads the french NGO "ETW-France" and
regularily gives lectures on purposeful living, stress management,
meditation, ecology and sanskrit chanting in France and throughout
Europe.
Day 4: Dayalu D’Angelo (Germany): In the past 20 years I have been
exploring different forms of bodywork and yoga for my inner growth
and to help create a more peaceful environment.
Also I was always interested to approach these disciplines in a fun
way. And that is what the fusion of yoga and acrobatics can do for
the youth, giving them a space to grow in a playful way.
6. food becomes you – upgrade it!
holistic nutrition 101
Summary:
“Let Food be thy Medicine, and Medicine be thy Food”
- Hippocrates, Father of Modern medicine.
Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats
and proteins.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which
means that we will look at how all areas of your life are connected and related to your health.
We are all individuals, and no one diet works for everyone.
In this workshop, I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle
choices that best support you.
Instead of creating lists of restrictions, and ‘good and bad’ foods, you will learn the basics of whole food nutrition, and discover the areas of your life that need the most
nourishment. This will give you the tools to make informed choices, so that YOU can
take charge of your Health!
If you would like to know more details about the topics we will cover, please feel free
to email me: prana@ foodinfluential.com • www.foodinfluential.com
Requirements for participants: rather good English language skills
Workshop leader: Prana Arnold (Australia) is a Certified Holistic
Health Counselor, AAPD.
She is passionate about food and health, and believes that upgrading these two go hand in hand in a recipe for a more
happy life.
She guides and inspires people to become their most authentic and healthy selves through fun and exciting food and lifestyle balancing.
7. InDeed for kids – 3 simple steps to a
sustainable future
Summary: InDeed is Embracing the World's
campaign for nature. It has been inspired by
Amma’s simple and practical advice as of
how we can protect nature in our daily life.
The InDeed for kids training will introduce you to three of these practical actions: conserving water, building homes for insects and growing your own vegetables.
You will learn these three simple steps for yourself, and also how to
pass them forward to children, be it in schools or in a more informal environment
(day-care center for instance).
These projects will be Ayudh main follow-up projects this year: it will give you the opportunity to give back what you have received and share with many children the im portance of the love and respect for Nature.
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leader: Devapriyan Dorian Spaak (France): I am an environment engineer who works in the field of agriculture.
8. photography
Summary: This year, we want you to be the main photographers of the
week. Under the guidance of a professional photographer a small
group of youth will document all the beautiful moments and people of
this year’s youth initiative. We will try to cover most of the activities
during the week and our best shots are shown every morning as a
slideshow. By sorting out and looking through the material, we will together
focus on the main principles of photography; discovering what
inspiring pictures are made of.
At the end of the retreat week, we will present our material either in
a projected slideshow or in printed form.
Requirements for participants:
o You have a passion for photography
o You have a good camera, ideally a SLR
o You can bring your own laptop
Workshop leader: Jay Eckert (Germany): I have been a full-time
volunteer as a cameraman for Embracing the World since 2004.
I love photography and sharing this with others is quite a
beautiful thing to do.
9. vision quest - building the labyrinth of life
Summary: In Asia the mandala is an aid
to meditation, and in
Sanskrit the
word simply means a
circle. The
circle is the primary form
of
the
labyrinth, containing the
eleven
rings, the centre with its
six petals,
and
the
surrounding
'cogs'. The
basic form is a small circle
at
the
centre with a larger one
outside,
joined by crossed hairs as in a gun-sight.
The circle is the most perfect geometric figure, being the
same at the beginning as at the end, as with alpha and omega. The four arms of the cross are like the
square, the symbol for reality, which represents the four points of the compass.
In ancient traditions walking in a labyrinth had been a tool to find ones vision and re ceive an answer to the deeper questions of life. We are going to build a sand and
stone labyrinth which will be a copy of the labyirinth in Chartres Cathedral, France.
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leader: Xuban Uribe-etxebarria (Basque Country): I am
Xuban and I am a teacher. I live in a community called Amalurra
(Basque Country), where such a labyrinth had been built two
years ago. We have experienced the joy and inspiration that
people receive by walking in the labyrinth and I am happy to
share this joy now with the people at M.A. Center Germany.
10. building a barefoot path

to
if you lose it.

Flow brings happiness, attention and strength into your thoughts
and actions during studies, sports, relationships and work. Everyone can experience Flow – you just have to know how to
do it.
Therefore, this workshop teaches you ways to build
more Flow into your life. You will learn what Flow is, how
prepare Flow, how to activate Flow and how to regain Flow -
Requirements for participants: rather good English language skills
Workshop leader: Martin August (Denmark): Working as a psychotherapist, coach and course instructor, Flow is a part of many of my sessions with clients and groups. It’s a natural way of being, a very positive way of being and living one’s life in the World together with a family, with friends and peers.
13. dance your vision! - five rhythms dance
pare
and our future.
Summary: Moving through „the wave” or 5 rhythms as a core
practice will allow us to open our bodies, open our hearts and
minds to the inner pulse of our sacred dance.
How do we move along our path in this moment of our lifetime?
Through guided improvisation and introspection we recognize our limitations to explore and share the opening beyond them...
With the help of movement we’ll catch hold of at least one
way (for each participant) in which we limit ourselves from living life fully. Transforming this limitation into an opening we preourselves to receive into our dance a personal vision of our world
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leader: Veena Fox (France): Educated in Contemporary
Dance,Ballet Jazz, Trance Dance, 5 Rhythms, Choreography etc.
and Yoga. I have been teaching Yoga and Dance for many years.
It’s always been a great joy to participate in the youth retreats
and this year’s theme offers the opportunity to go deep and be
truly alive together, which I’m looking forward to wholeheartedly.
14. share your story, share your vision! - the art of
storytelling
in
and
Summary: I have been touched by story all my life. I love to hear a
good storyteller. It is a joy to read a good book. It is beautiful
when a stranger or a friend enriches your life with a story. Play,
partners, parenting, performance and parrots all improve with a
story. Young children, clowns, spiritual masters, parents, lovers,
healers and teenagers all tell stories. All traditions and cultures
have their special stories and characters. You have a story. Swim
a sea of stories, laugh and play, share your culture, shape your soul
vision in the art of storytelling.
Requirements for participants: Eyes, ears, a soft sweet voice, a sense of humour, an
open heart and a willing imagination. Leave the left brain at home.
Workshop leader: Eoin McCuirc (Ireland): My story is of a journey from a small island
on the edge of Europe around the world and back again. I returned with nothing but a
hatful of stories, a bad back and two very sore feet. Now I sit in small groups and
amazing stories come to me.
15. dive into your vision! – impro dance
Summary: Dance your heart open - Without having to remember
any steps! Dance with your whole being, just here, just now, just
for the celebration of life! Suitable for both experienced and for
those, who haven't danced much, as everybody follows their
own tempo and feeling through easy tasks given by the leader.
The goal of the workshop is to dive into our still point, from
where something true can blossom, and to share that. Every soul
has a story to tell, something to offer. In this workshop we all come
to
feel and understand the same language - the language of dance. You are warmly welcomed!
Requirements for participants: none
Workshop leaders: Jenna Rignell (Finland): MA in Dancepedagogy (Theatre Academy,
Helsinki) – so I've been quite interested in dance for some time now! Working with 2 –
106 year old people in Finland, I am interested how dancing can speak to us a
language that we understand with our heart.
